The Columbia Greene Umpires will be running their annual Super Bowl squares to support the Ron Gabriel foundation. Each year the foundation awards 2 scholarships to local seniors in Ron’s name. This year marks 5 years since Ron’s passing, we thank you for your continued support to keep Ron’s legacy going. Each square is $30, with payouts after each quarter. On November 9th, Capital District umpire, Kevin Barrett, a well respected 32 year official was inducted into the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame. Kevin is pictured with Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman. The NYSBUA congratulates Kevin and thanks him for his years of service.
