The Northern Columbia Chaos Rage 10u softball team provides the opportunity for girls to experience competitive travel softball while continuing to focus on fundamentals, skill development, and growing the passion for the game.

Chaos won game one against Queensbury 6-1 and game two ended in a 2-2 tie. Today’s games were dominated in the circle Morgan Halloran led the way in game one notching 15 strikeouts and allowing only 3 hits. Anna Horn toed the rubber in game two tallying 12 strikeouts, allowing only 2 hits. Anna Horn led the way at the plate with a single and a double. Alana Van Alphen also had two singles. Melanie Kraft had a key bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 5th in game two to tie the score. No games for the next week so we can rest up and prep for our next tournament in East Greenbush June 18th-21st.

We may have ran out of gas this weekend but there is one girl who didn’t and was asking for more. Shout out to our catcher Elsie McCarthy who not only caught all six games this weekend, but asked to keep catching. She played outstanding and showed some serious grit and toughness this weekend! Great job Elsie 🩵💪🥎

Chaos Rage 10u ran out of gas in the championship game against a very talented Miss Shen team. Chaos had a great weekend going 5-1 against a GREAT field of teams. Every player contributed in the team’s success this weekend. We will learn from this championship game experience and work towards continued improvement. Big things to come 🩵💪🥎

Not only did we go 3-0 today and get the #1 seed but we also had some serious fun! Izzy Scharoun, Morgan Halloran, and Amelia Brooks led the way at the plate each recording three hits. Morgan Halloran won most valuable opponent (MVO) in game 1 for a great performance in the circle, Melanie Kraft won MVO in game 2 for her BOMB, and Isabelle Hamilton won MVO in game three for a couple of outstanding catches in left field. This tournament has a loaded field! First game at 11:00 a.m.! 🩵💪🥎

Today started with a player lead team prayer and ended with two victories…..Alana Van Alphen and Amelia Brooks led the way at the plate, each recording two hits on the day. Melanie Kraft and Elsie McCarthy each chipped in with a triple and Morgan Halloran had a double. Anna Horn and Morgan Halloran each notched wins in the circle. Anna Horn led the way with 11 strikeouts in 4 innings. Our tournament season starts on Saturday! 🩵💪

Chaos Rage went 2-0 on the day winning game one 7-0 and winning game two in the sixth inning 3-2. In game one, Anna Horn went 4 innings striking out 8, zero walks, and allowed only one hit. Anna also had 3 RBI on a double and a single. Melanie Kraft also had two hits in game one. In game two, Morgan Halloran was dominant in the circle pitching all 6 innings, striking out 16 batters, and allowing only one hit. With the score tied 2-2 in the top of the 6th, Amelia Brooks led off with a base hit and then Anna Horn laid down a game winning sacrifice bunt. Amelia Brooks finished the day as the leading hitter accumulating five hits on the day and scoring five runs! Chaos Rage is back at it on Saturday for a doubleheader against Capital District Fusion at 1:00 and 3:00.

If anyone sees Bob Horn around the field today, please thank him for donating his time and mower to ensure the proper field conditions for our girls. The field is prepped! Games at 2:00 and 4:00!

Looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon? How about coming to watch two of the top 5 teams in the capital district at the 10u level? Your NC Chaos Rage 10u will take on South Colonie Garnet tomorrow 5/17 at 2:00 and 4:00 at Volunteer Park. Come out and support some great local, young athletes! 🩵🥎💪
