Aomori Spring, Japan, Asia’s premier snowboard and freeski destination, in association with Pro Camps Asia, presents an exceptional training opportunity to national halfpipe teams, professional halfpipe riders and elite riders and skiers this spring.
The Aomori Spring Pro Camp offers world-class, Olympic level facilities to help elite level athletes reach their goals as they work towards the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Gain exclusive access to premium quality features, purpose built for high performance training. Personalised service, limited participant numbers and private halfpipe access will ensure effective on-snow training time.
Olympic and World Cup halfpipe builder John Melville, of Development Snowparks will design, construct and maintain the halfpipe for the duration of the camp. John and his team will be on hand to offer fine-tuning, receive feedback and work with teams to deliver the terrain required.
Benjamin Boyd and Elijah Teter, renowned freestyle coaches from Pro Camps Asia will direct the camp. They have coached many top-level athletes including Olympic Gold and Silver Medal winners Kaitlyn Farrington, Hannah Teter and Ayumu Hirano.

Daily On Snow Schedule
• Two daily trainings 10am – 2pm (airbag and halfpipe) and night session 6pm – 8pm (halfpipe only).
• The morning session to be used for progression and airbag, the night session used to simulate the Olympic events and allow athletes to get used to performing under lights.
The Facilities
• 22 foot halfpipe shaped and built by Olympic and World Cup builder John Melville using the Global Cutter.
• Airbag spine facility with drop in, and hits from both sides of pipe to encourage progression in a safe and controlled environment.
• Lighting for halfpipe for night sessions.
• Pipe dyed daily to simulate a competition pipe for the benefit of all riders.

• 2 hour direct flight from Incheon Airport, Korea to Aomori Airport.
• 70 minute direct flight from Tokyo to Aomori Airport
• 80 minute direct flight from Nagoya to Aomori Airport
• 45 minute direct flight from Sapporo to Aomori Airport
Background on Aomori Spring
With its pristine beech forests, world-class snow conditions and long trails which extend over 3.5km in length and drop 545 vertical metres, Mount Iwaki is the setting for Aomori Spring Ski Resort’s 14 ski trails. During the day, take the gondola up to a height of 921 metres and enjoy commanding views of the Tsugaru Plain and the Sea of Japan before plunging back down, and after dark, enjoy night skiing on one of several floodlit trails. You can enjoy all of this safe in the knowledge that excellent snow conditions are guaranteed throughout the length of the winter season.
