⚠️PLEASE READ: With all the school, gym & public places closing during this outbreak for quarantine to help slow the spread of the Corona virus among the elderly & immune compromised, we want to emphasize that we are remaining open for classes as usual & have taken several simple measures to allow you to still get in some healthy exercise to keep your immune system strong while staying safe. Since 100% of our students have always received PRIVATE LESSONS (which are one-on-one instruction) we are simply going to shift our focus to less hands-on practice for a few weeks and more form work without a partner with your techniques, basics (kicks & punches etc) and katas. Shadow boxing has always been one of the primary methods of practice for when you are by yourself anyway as well as when quick reviewing belts, & in this way you can keep training & exercising while so many of those options have been temporarily taken away elsewhere. No one’s training or health need suffer when there are simple alternative work-arounds for the short time being. We are also disinfecting our mats daily, along with wiping down door handles etc with bleach wipes. And of course, no shaking hands, no high fives or fist bumps — besides, we have always had the bow instead 😉 Please help stop the unnecessary spread of panic & hoarding by not sharing misinformation on social media etc, & we will see you all in class this week for some good healthy immune system boosting SAFE exercise & much needed stress release! 👊🏼💪🏼
