Congratulations to Luke Dugger on winning our 2026 Assistant-Associate Championship on Monday hosted by El Macero Country Club ! Luke won on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff with a birdie to defeat Blake Bertrand from Sunday Swing Golf. Both golfers finished with a 36-hole total of -10 to tie for first.

Thank you to all 67 Assistant Associate Professionals who participated in this year’s 36-hole individual stroke play championship event and to all of our supporting sponsors! We couldn’t do this without you.

Congratulations to Jason Schmuhl on winning our 2026 Senior Professional Championship with a score of -11. Jason got a strong start to round 1 with a score of 64 (-8) and maintained the lead in Round 2 despite a late charge from Warren Pineo, PGA. With the win, Jason automatically qualified for the PGA of America Senior Professional Championship hosted by Superstition Mountain October 22-25, 2026.

Congratulations to Senior PGA Professional, Steve Hummel, who aced the second hole of the Bluff Course at Del Rio Country Club today in the first round of our 2026 NCPGA Senior Professional Championship. Hummel’s ace led him to a round of 74 (+2) to finish tied for 9th after the completion of today’s first round.

Congratulations to Andrew Larkin ( Santa Clara Men's Golf ) for capturing the 2026 NCPGA Section Championship with a score of -4 over the 36-hole contest held at The Quail . Larkin defeated Michael Nicoletti, PGA ( Granite Bay Golf Club ) via a sudden death playoff that lasted 2 holes.

The 2026 Pro-Junior Championship at Bayonet Black Horse © was another great event! A special thank you to Pat Jones, PGA and his entire team at Bayonet / Black Horse Golf Course for hosting us. 72 teams competed in this year’s tournament on the challenging Bayonet Golf Course showcasing their teamwork, skill, and camaraderie throughout the day in the Shamble Best-Ball format.

Congratulations to Michael Nicoletti, PGA on capturing the 2026 NCPGA Pro Series #4 title at the historic Claremont Country Club yesterday. Michael carded an impressive 3-under-par 65 highlighted by 7 birdies, 8 pars, 1 bogey, and 1 double bogey to earn a one shot victory over fellow PGA Professionals Pat Steffes, Chelso Barrett, and Brad Marek.

Thank you to PGA Professionals Matt Mores, Kyle Brannan, and the entire team at Claremont Country Club for all of the hospitality during yesterday’s event.

🚨It’s Back!!🚨

One of our most fun events from last year makes its return to the tournament calendar on Monday, July 20th. We brought this back after a 15-year hiatus and thank all those who played last year. The post-round ice cream bar was such a hit that we had to run it back.

We hope to see all those who played last year again and welcome those of you who are interested in playing this year! Our PGA Professionals will team up with a junior of their choice under 18 for a Shamble Best Ball format at the beautiful Bayonet Black Horse © in Monterey, CA.

This Memorial Day, the Northern California PGA would like to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our Nation. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. Let us remember them with gratitude and carry their legacy forward with pride.

The Section office will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day. We will return Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
