Learning proper depth - more specifically the correct timing and situation of depth along with hands & feet
Following the puck - not giving up after the initial save, eyes, hands, and feet being critical factors with making the second save
These are a few things goalies need to learn from people who have played the position. Youth hockey coaches who have never played goalie can sometimes learn some lingo, some basic technical form, but can rarely properly relate and be able to translate it to correct game situations
Get your goalie some dedicated goalie time, with someone who’s actually played the position and can understand, relate & translate properly!
