There are moments in life that you know youāll never forget.
This season was one of them.
As I sit here trying to find the right words, I honestly donāt know if they exist. How do you properly thank a group of people who gave so much of themselves to something bigger than softball? How do you put into words what this team has meant to me?
To our girlsā¦
Thank you.
Thank you for believing. Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for showing up every single day with a willingness to work, to learn, and to fight for one another. You never took the easy road. You embraced the hard practices, the long weekends, the early mornings, the late nights, the failures, the victories, and every challenge in between.
You became more than teammates.
You became sisters.
The bond the ten of you built is something that canāt be measured by trophies, rankings, or championships. Itās something much greater. Years from now, you probably wonāt remember every score or every inning, but youāll remember the laughter in the hotel hallways, the music on the rides home, the celebrations after big wins, the tears after tough losses, and the feeling of standing shoulder to shoulder knowing the girl beside you would give everything she had for you.
That is what makes this team so special.
To our parentsā¦
From the bottom of my heart⦠thank you.
Thank you for believing in a vision that, at times, probably seemed impossible. Thank you for trusting our plan, even when it demanded more than anyone expected.
I know what this season cost.
It cost vacation days.
It cost weekends.
It cost long drives, hotel rooms, gas, meals, equipment, and countless dollars that could have been spent elsewhere.
It meant missing birthday parties, family gatherings, and time at home.
It meant living out of suitcases, eating dinner at ballparks, and spending countless hours on the road chasing a dream that belonged to your daughters.
None of that went unnoticed.
You werenāt just supporting a softball team.
You were investing in life lessons. You were teaching your daughters commitment, accountability, sacrifice, resilience, and what it means to pursue excellence. Those lessons will stay with them long after the final out was recorded.
Because of your belief⦠this team became something truly special.
This group didnāt just win games.
They changed expectations.
They raised the standard.
They showed every younger girl in our organization what it looks like to compete with heart, to represent Turnin2 with pride, and to chase greatness without fear. They proved that hard work isnāt just something you talk aboutāitās something you live every single day.
They became the blueprint.
The example.
The standard that future teams will be measured against.
That kind of legacy canāt be bought, and it canāt be faked.
It has to be earned.
And this group earned every bit of it.
The hardest part about sports is knowing that every season eventually comes to an end.
No matter how magical the journey is⦠eventually someone takes off their jersey for the last time.
That reality hurts.
Because if I could, Iād hit rewind and do it all over again.
Iād take every early morning, every rain delay, every long drive, every practice, every laugh, every championship celebration, and every moment with this group one more time.
But maybe thatās what makes it so beautiful.
The season ends.
The memories never do.
Years from now, when people talk about Turnin2, theyāll talk about this team.
Theyāll talk about the group of ten girls who refused to back down from anyone. The girls who embraced the biggest stages, welcomed the toughest competition, and proudly represented something bigger than themselves.
Theyāll remember that they werenāt just talented.
They were selfless.
They were fearless.
They loved each other.
And they forever changed what people believed this program could become.
To these ten girlsā¦
You will always be softball sisters.
You will always have a place in my heart.
And no matter where life takes each of you, no one can ever take away what you built together.
Thank you for letting me be a small part of your story.
I will never forget this team.
I will never forget this season.
And I will never forget the family we became.
I love you all more than youāll ever know.
Forever family.
