Mike goes on an impromptus lake trout fishing adventure with Captain Robert Siegel aboard Rod Squad Fishing Charters. Back in the saddle. I haven't painted any Bandits since last summer. These are some new patterns to me. I was asked to paint these several times last summer, so they must be hot and in demand.
The water temp off Erie Pa is currently 45F. Long range forecast looks like Erie won't warm up quickly this year. Bandits are awesome cold water baits. Could be the ticket for the Pa walleye opener on May 2. As with all my baits you can't knock the paint off of them. GOOD NEWS!
Many of you that follow me know that in July of 2025 I was diagnosed with cancer. I went through Chemo treatments this winter. Chemo treatments are all over and went well. The Saturday before Easter I had a PET scan. The Dr sees no lymphoma and belives I'm in remission. Praise God! Thank you to all my prayer warriors. The type of lymphoma I have is not curable and can only be put into remission. So continued prayers for a long remisson are greatly appreciated. Watch this short clip "Faith Thought, Power of Prayer" from my new podcast, "Walleyes and Adventure Throughout the Grape Region".

I've started a new expedition, Walleyes and Adventure Throughout the Grape Region. We will be focusing on walleye fishing in the PA waters of Lake Erie along with featuring destination locations within an easy drive of Northwest PA. Like all my business ventures, I'm not much on getting professional help. So bear with me as I learn all the technical aspects of podcasting. No producers here. I even recorded my own intro music.
