The “new” Vermillion Red Sox honored long time player manager Kirk (Sorney)Sorensen by having him throw out the first pitch at last night’s game. The game was against the Sioux City Futures managed by former Red Sox standout Robin Chute. “Chuter" took the field with his twin sons, Carter and Kaleb. Congratulations to Steve Fejfar! He was inducted into the South Dakota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday. He is a member of the 2020 inductees which gave him an extra year to work on his speech (which was EXCELLENT, I might add). Fej is one of those great baseball players that made it into the SDABHoF by his sheer baseball playing ability. A rare honor indeed. Congrats and thanks for being an integral part of Vermillion Red Sox Baseball for so many years. Come to "the Ranch" and celebrate with a Baseball BBQ on Sunday September 5th (mid afternoon)
