Congratulations, Jon Murray!

At the Bryant-Jordan Awards Ceremony in Birmingham this evening, Jon recieved the Region 3 Class 2A Bryant Jordan Scholar Athlete award scholarship ($3000), and he was selected as the overall Class 2A Scholar Athlete Award Winner ($3500 scholarship), securing the award against nominees from all 8 AHSAA regions.

Jon is the first J.U. Blacksher Student Athlete to be named the Overall Class 2A Bryant Jordan Scholar Athlete Award winner!

Congratulations to JUB Wrestler Jon Murray for being selected as a regional winner for the prestigious Bryant Jordan Scholarship. He will be recognized in Birmingham in April for his accomplishments.

The 2025-2026 wrestling season came to an end today at the 1A-4A Section in Montgomery. Colby Johnson, Brady Cole, and Keegan Strength lost in the first consolation round. Payton White defeated his opponent from Dora in the third consolation round but lost to Tallassee in the next round. Jon Murray defeated his opponent from Alabama School for the Blind in the third consolation round but lost a hard-fought match 5-0 to Walter Wellborn. These two seniors will be greatly missed!

Handicap parking is in the South Lot of the Garrett Coliseum.

Fan parking will be in the South Loy of the Garrett Coliseum. A fee of $5.00 will be charged per each vehicle, per day. No fan parking will be allowed in the North Lot.

Fan Entrance/Ticket Purchase
All fans will enter through the South Upper-Level entrance doors, all tickets will be digital and must be purchased through GoFan, there will be a cash option to purchase tickets at the door. All fans will go through the Montgomery County Sheriff Office security check point. The Garrett Coliseum is a Clear Bag facility.

No outside food or beverages may be brought into the Garrett Coliseum by fans.

Two full-service concession stands will be operating daily throughout the tournament. One concession stand is located on the Lower-Level at Section O, the other stand is located on the Upper-Level at Section E.

All wrestlers need to meet in the new gym lobby at the beginning of 7th period Monday, Feb. 2nd. The PTO is feeding us and there is a guest speaker.
Also, Monday night, prior to the start of the girls' basketball game, out senior wrestlers will be recognized. Please try to attend!!!

The JUB PTO will be providing Popeye's for the wrestling team on Monday, Feb. 2nd. All wrestlers need to meet in the gym lobby at the beginning of 7th period.

Senior night will be on Monday, February 2nd. Wrestling, boys, and girls basketball seniors will be recognized prior to the start of the girls' basketball game on Monday (Approximately 5 pm). Please come and support all of our winter sport seniors!

Tonight's wrestling match against Flomaton has been cancelled. We will not be traveling to MGM on January 27th.
Senior Night recognition will take place on February 2nd before the start of the Girls' basketball game @ 5 pm. Wrestling seniors will be recognized along with the Basketball Seniors.
