NO YOGA THIS MONTH
with the business of getting my classroom ready for the start of the school year and low enrollment there will be no Yoga this month. In September we will have a free trail day so keep an eye out for that announcement coming next month!

Cancelled!!! Due to illness I will not be hosting the free storybook yoga class Friday the 24. Regular yoga sessions are also cancelled for Saturday the 25th. Thank you for your understanding.

In Active Yoga we have a theme for the class. We learn poses related to that theme and then play games that incorporate those poses. We add challenge poses at the end that invite the children to work with a partner or the group to test their balance, flexibility, and strength. Pictured here students during our Safari theme are playing Safari photographer. Games like this not only promote gross motor development but also social skills. Our next Active Yoga class is July 25th

In Storybook Yoga we read a fun story and incorporate poses that relate to the book. Then we use those poses to play games and sing songs to go along with the story. Next Story Yoga class is July 25th.

Music in Motion spent the morning at Messiah Lutheran Church-Urbana, Ohio on the last day of Safari Adventure Camp! We played one of our favorite games with the song Wimoweh (The Lion Sleeps tonight) and we mixed it up with some Jungle/Safari yoga!
