Whether you're paddling a canoe, exploring by kayak, or floating downstream on a tube, Birch Bark offers a relaxing and memorable outdoor adventure for all ages. As a State and National Scenic River, the Mad River is known for its clear waters, beautiful scenery, and abundant wildlife.

📢 Season Update from Birch Bark Canoe Livery

With the water running low and the cooler weather settling in, it’s time to wrap up our 2025 canoe season. 🍂🛶

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and joined us on the Mad River this year—you helped make it a fantastic season! 🙏

We’re already looking ahead to next summer with plans to expand and grow what we offer here at Birch Bark. Bigger, better, and more fun is on the horizon! 🌊☀️

If you have reservations for the upcoming weekends, we'll be in touch and provide a full refund.

🚨 We're Hiring Splash Brothers (and Sisters)! 💦🛶

Birch Bark Canoe Livery is looking for 2–3 new Splash Brothers to join our crew! If you’re friendly, active, and don’t mind getting your feet wet, this is the perfect summer job for you.

💰 Starting pay: $12.50/hour
🌊 Your job: Help customers in and out of the water safely and unload and load boats, they are heavy - we need some muscle
📅 We’re only open Friday–Sunday and holidays during the summer
🎉 Perks: Fun livery benefits, good vibes, and river days every shift

We’re hiring for the second half of this season and already looking ahead to build our team for Summer 2026.
