With modern gun season opening tomorrow I wanted to make a few announcements and wish everybody good luck. On account of having a pretty substantial backlog of work at the moment I’ve decided to only take in 35 more shoulder mounts this year. After I hit that limit the only exceptions will be for returning customers. Also, as much as I hate to, I’ll be raising my prices on shoulder mounts to $700.
I’m happy to say that I’m not raising the price of European amounts at all and also won’t be limiting the number of skulls I take in. I like being able to offer an option for the budget minded working folks like myself. Euros will still be $120(like they’ve been the last four years). Unlike shoulder mounts, I don’t have to order any materials, they only require time and a bit of elbow grease. Because of that , they are not at the mercy of suppliers and inflation, so I can keep those prices low.
Finally, if you hunt in Hardin Meade Breckinridge counties you can still bring your deer to me without violating F&Ws CWD quarantine rules. Instead of bringing it to my shop in Bonnieville I can meet you at my family’s farm in Upton (Hardin County side) and do my initial skinning and antler removal there, which complies with the rules. Just call me and we will make it happen.
Best of luck everyone, happy harvest!

Kentucky’s top producing counties for whitetails in Boone & Crockett from first to tenth are Ohio, Pulaski, Grayson, Christian, Todd, Breckinridge, Hardin, Lewis, Hart, and Logan.

I’m not really good at coming up with clever catchy marketing. I mount deer. I try very hard to do so well. Imagine something better here and take a look at my work. God bless.

Attention Hardin (and Meade and Breckinridge) County hunters. KY F&W new guideline says you may not transport carcasses or high risk parts (meaning spine and brain) outside of the surveillance zone… I can still mount your deer! Instead of bringing it to my shop, call me and I will meet you at my Mom and Dads in Upton (Hardin County) where I will reduce it down to a hide and clean skull cap and properly dispose of the carcass. Doing it this way keeps everyone in perfect compliance with Fish and Wildlife’s new registration. The only difference is instead of driving to my shop, I will meet you at my Mom and Dads.

Thanks!

Good luck everyone. Hope to see you this year. Just a reminder you don’t have to call ahead opening weekend, don’t worry...

Good luck everyone. Hope to see you this year. Just a reminder you don’t have to call ahead opening weekend, don’t worry, I’ll be here 😆. 324 Copelin Road just off 728 between Bonnieville and priceville (right across from Cardinal farms/silver spurs saddle club).
