Carl's Place to Race/The Chase for Carls Cup Racing Series Welcome to Adrian, Ohio's Original Racetrack. Now Turned into The Chase for Carls Cup Traveling Go Kart Series's webpage. Which we opened at The Marion Coliseum.

This here Site first started off as a page to help promote our back yard racetrack which started off as a cornfield and with Grandma and Grandpas graces turned into a little know gem in Adrian, Ohio called Carl's Place to Race. (IN honor of Grandpa Collet) We was able to race/play here for 6 years and then we sadly lost half the track not once, but twice. (due to property being sold) so as I have it with some of my idiotic thoughts and my short temper/i don't give a s**t attitude towards some rule changes else where I started my own go kart series in the spring of 2024 named after Grandpa yet again, "The Chase for Carls Cup" it was a 8 or 9 race event schedule focused on bringing outlaw racing back to the grassroots of go Kart racing. It was a Rwyb type of deal, and we had a decent turn out with it for a 1st year deal. So, we decided to go bigger and better for its second year. With the selling of half of the shorter yet almost 40 mph speed producing facility, it left us short of an important piece of the puzzle, that is a racetrack to play at....So with great pleasure I Introduce to you The Chase for Carls Cup Traveling Go Kart Series, featuring a new class to the series Mary's Class (named after Grandma Collet) it is Based Loosely off of idiots (with permission) with a Carls Cup twist. We are traveling to 9 or 10 new venues for Carls Cup this year all across the northwest and central part of Ohio. Come join some of the BADDEST BADASSES TO EVER GRACE A GO KART!! AND COLLECT SOME DOUGH WHILE YOU DO!

The Chase for Carl's Cup would like to Congratulate KY" SUPERMAN" HARPER ON HIS DOMINATING PERFORMANCE FOR 2026.

He didn't win just one division championship but two and that was in DOMINATING fashion. Everyone knew that when they was showing up they had best be on their A GAME.

Congratulations to SWEEPING our year, you won the normal points fund with an additional $1,000 bonus for sweeping both classes in the championship bringing your total to $2,250 dollars your 1099 will be in the mail.

Thank you to everyone who supported our series this year. From February all the way through Sept and our last race is in Oct. Which makes it a 9 month race season.

Well.....as J.r from W.W.F would say. King that....was....a slobber knocker of a fight. I dont know how they lasted that long in the ring.

We had 7 badass racers that truly had the cross hairs set on KILL cross the registration table.

Our drivers meeting was about 30 secs because every single one of you knew the mission, and your eyes said you knew..

It was a hell of a battle. Slicing. Dicing, cubing the competition. The manufacturer of the slice-o-matic would have been proud of the boys. Collum found himself chain guardless by the end of the feature, and SuperMan found his little brother Mighty Mouse well...using his muscle and showing his brother the bumper, side panel, and even the right front tire.

But have no FEAR because Superman was there and said get your ass back not once but not twice, but about 3 times. Mighty Mouse booted him one final time and that was it. Superman finally found his kriptinite and that was a broken chain.

Today's events set the 2026 Chase for Carl's Cup points championship for the series.

Yeah......we're aware.....mother nature is a biiiii......not a very nice person.

We're supposed to finish up our Points battle in Marys Class at Angry Orchard which would finish our points season.

If the rain don't stop, the Orchard won't be the only thing Angry.

We will have a final call at 8am Sunday

THE HARPER BROTHERS RULE THE CARL’S CLASS!

Six races. Six opportunities to earn points. One championship.

And when the final checkered flag flew, the Harper brothers had conquered the Carl’s Class championship standings, finishing 1st and 2nd!

🥇 KY HARPER — 356 POINTS
🏆 2026 CARL’S CLASS CHAMPION

🥈 KADEN HARPER — 324 POINTS
🔥 2026 CHAMPIONSHIP RUNNER-UP

That’s right — brothers Ky and Kaden Harper finished first and second in the final Carl’s Cup standings, with Ky taking the championship by 32 points.

But getting there was anything but easy…

🏁 ROUND 1 — FEBRUARY 28 @ MARION

The Carl’s Class season kicked off at Marion, and right from the beginning the competition was tight.

Ky opened his championship campaign with 51 points, while Kaden grabbed 41. Steven Berlin also posted 51, with Tucker Long leading the way with 53 points.

It was an early warning that this championship wasn't going to be decided in one night.

🏁 ROUND 2 — APRIL 26 @ ANGRY ORCHARD

The series rolled into Angry Orchard, and the points battle started to take shape.

Ky came away with 58 points, matching Matt Craun for the round, while Kaden earned 43. Steven Berlin continued his strong start with 52 points.

But the biggest points haul of the night went to Tyler Gunn with 65 points, shaking up the championship standings.

The Harper brothers were still right in the mix — and the season was just getting started.

🏁 ROUND 3 — MAY 17 @ 34

Round three at 34 saw several drivers make their move.

Ky and Kaden were nearly inseparable, with both Harper brothers scoring 57 points!

Matt Craun put together a huge night with 62 points, while Steven Berlin scored 54.

The brothers were proving that this wasn't just a battle between two drivers — the Carl's Class field was packed with competition.

And after three rounds, the Harper brothers were still right there.

Brother vs. brother. Driver vs. driver. Championship bragging rights on the line. 😂

🏁 ROUND 4 — JUNE 20 @ OTTAWA LAKE

Then came Ottawa Lake — and Ky Harper made a statement.

Ky put together his strongest performance of the season to that point, scoring 65 points, the highest possible total on the night.

Kaden wasn't far behind with 62 points, continuing the Harper brothers' incredible run.

Steven Berlin added 56, while Tucker Long scored 46.

This was the round where Ky began to create some separation.

The championship suddenly had a Harper-sized target on it. 🏆

🏁 ROUND 5 — JULY 25 @ D&D

With the championship battle entering its final stages, every point became critical.

Ky once again delivered, putting 61 points on the board.

Kaden followed with 59 points, keeping the pressure on his brother.

Carson Smith scored 54, while Tyler Gunn added 53.

With only one race remaining, the Harper brothers had positioned themselves perfectly for a championship showdown.

One race. One final opportunity. 32 points separating first and second.

🏁 ROUND 6 — AUGUST 23 @ OTTAWA LAKE

And then… there was one final checkered flag.

Back to Ottawa Lake for the season finale.

Ky Harper wasn't about to let the championship slip away.

He finished the season with an impressive 64-point night, while Kaden added 62 points.

Steven Berlin scored 53 and Tucker Long 51 as the Carl’s Class field closed out the 2026 season.

And when the points were finally totaled…

Our September 5TH Race for MARYS CLASS AT ANGRY ORCHARD IS MOVED TO SEPTEMBER 6TH.

WE ARE SORRY IF IT SCREWS ANYTHING UP FOR ANYONE.

gates at 10 and hotlaps at 12p

Be ready to rip because we'll have the hammer down and the clutch released so the boys can head to D&D Speedway for the IDIOTS race.

This is the final points race for the season.

We have the banquet at Great Lakes September 26th. We're we crown our beloved Champions. Top 3 get paid in each class.

Each Driver in the top 10 in each Carl's Class gets 2 free pit passes. We'll have an Australian Pursuit and a 500 to win each Carl's class 33 lap feature. No heats, pill pull and that sets line up. Limited to our standard 12 karts starting feature.

Well...........as the Ol Wiz is sitting here and reflecting on what he has created and opportunity's that it has given him...he figured wth he better get points and results posted from Ottawa Lake.

I truly dont like waiting to post stuff this late from previous races especially at the end of the season. How ever business/life growth has kept me busy and away from my computer.

I will say this though. We have alot of great things building already for 2027 and 2026 isnt even over yet.

Sounds like we might be closier to a hard surface division for the karts and a 12-hour road course endurance race for 2027. A webpage is one of them good things that will come and we might even be going into the Hog Barn.. I guess you'll just have to wait and see.

Now for a short debriefing and one word can sum it up.

HARPER......

Our current Points Leader in both Classes took a nasty sprint car wreck Friday and yet was there Sunday to show up and show out. Abit ol Bert had to damn near lift him out of the kart when he dominated both features and rolled slowly onto the back stretch for pics and honestly if that kinda dedication don't make you a fan of the seriousness and the drivers that our series brings to the table, then maybe you do deserve to beat on the keyboard.

Honestly all 16 fellas raced their hearts out. None the boys left anything on the table, not even the bones from the chicken, it was a Harper 1/2 day, and the likes like Brendan Collum and Tucker Long showed a thing or two. Young Phillip was behind the 8 ball and the team got him moving pretty good, hopefully you get it moving good and hit hard next year.

I'm hoping to have results posted tonight, we have been very very busy this week as we have just signed papers for our new office in republic. Where the wizard will be living and the series will be ran out of.
