Hastings Football Bears

Somehow I missed posting for our Jones game so going to do 2 for both of our last games. The last 2 that got nominated to wear our Honorary captain 0’s for our last 2 games were Dante Theado and Ari Allen-Dussault. Both of these young gentlemen have worked so hard this year and were true team players throughout.

For the Norton game last night, Liam Wagg was nominated by our captains to wear 0. He has worked hard all year on both sides of the ball and has become a kicker we can rely on also. His passion for the game shows in everything he does, congrats Liam!

Carter Nicoll was named to wear the captains 0 for us this week. The captains said so many words about his work ethic etc. What meant the most to me as coach was after the game one of the opponents players came to me and let me know he truly respected Carter and how he treated the other players with respect and played the game right. Way to go Carter!!

Following the Hastings Football Tradition, prior to every 8th grade game in the locker room before taking the field the Captains award a player who had a great week of practice, leadership and character the Number 0 to wear in the game.

This week's player vs Hilliard Weaver was Grant Bradford!

Go Bears!
