STOP CONFUSING MORE WITH BETTER. 🔥

At 35, 40, 50 and beyond.. your body is still capable of INCREDIBLE things.

But training harder, eating less and pushing yourself into the ground isn't THE MAGIC it sounds like.

Sometimes getting stronger means learning to take BETTER care of yourself.

Train with purpose. Fuel your body. Respect THE MILEAGE.

The goal isn't to do more.. it's to get better at doing what matters.

🍓 STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE WITH 39G OF PROTEIN?! 💪🔥

Who said getting lean means giving up dessert?!

One of the biggest mistakes people make when changing their nutrition is thinking they have to eliminate everything they enjoy.

You don't need a perfect diet. You need one you can repeat!

This high-protein strawberry cheesecake bowl satisfies that sweet tooth while helping you hit your daily protein goals!

🔥 COACH'S CORNER — RISE UP PHOENIX

You don't have to choose between enjoying food and building the body you want.

Learn your macros. Make smarter substitutions. Keep your favorite foods in rotation.

The goal isn't to eat perfectly for 30 days. It's to build habits you can maintain for 30 years.

That's how we create lasting change. One meal, one workout, one better decision at a time.

BASIC ISN’T BORING. BASIC IS HOW YOU BECOME UNDENIABLE.

You don’t need 12 chest exercises. You need a few good movements performed well, progressed, and repeated.

CHEST DAY — KEEP IT BASIC

1. Barbell Bench Press — 4 × 6–8

2. Incline Dumbbell Press — 3 × 8–10

3. Cable Fly — 3 × 10–15

COOL DOWN — 5 MINUTES
Slow walk → doorway pec stretch → shoulder/chest mobility → deep breathing.

Same movements. Better ex*****on. More strength. More control. Repeat.

Lasting change isn't built by constantly finding something new.

It's built by getting really damn good at the basics. 🔥

GET LEAN → MAINTAIN → GROW 💪

If you’re carrying more body fat than you’re comfortable with, cutting first gives you more room for a long, controlled building phase.

The goal isn’t to starve yourself down as fast as possible. It’s to lose fat while keeping the muscle you already earned.

Moderate calorie deficit.
High protein.
Keep lifting hard.
Recover.

Then spend some time at maintenance before moving into a small, controlled surplus and actually giving your body time to GROW.

The more fat you have to lose, the longer the cutting phase may take. But the goal was never to live in a deficit.

🔥 Cut with a purpose.
⚖️ Maintain with a purpose.
💪 Grow with a purpose.

Stop bouncing between crash diets and sloppy bulks.

Build a body you can actually maintain.

Let's talk Thursday..

MEASURE… OR JUST EAT? 🤔

People ask me how I track my food and stay consistent.

Truth is, I don't measure everything anymore.

I focus on the major macros—protein, carbs and fats—and I've practiced it long enough that I can look at a plate and have a pretty damn good idea of what I'm eating.

But that's the key:

I practiced first.

I measured. I tracked. I learned portions. Eventually the numbers became something I could recognize on sight.

Now I keep it simple.

🥩 Get enough protein to support the muscle.
🍚 Eat enough carbs to fuel the work.
🥑 Keep fats where they need to be.
🥦 Mix in vegetables that keep my digestion happy.
🍓 Use fruit when the sugar cravings start talking.
😂 And I've learned which foods my stomach likes…and which ones send me straight to the bathroom.

And apparently my nutritional philosophy also includes:

🍠 Eat as many sweet potatoes as humanly possible. 😆

You don't have to spend the rest of your life weighing every grain of rice.

Measure long enough to learn what you're looking at.

Then build the skill of eating with intention without needing a calculator every time you sit down.

The goal isn't to become great at tracking food.
The goal is to become great at feeding yourself.

Treasure yourself..

Going after a lean body... eat well and feel better

You can do it too!!!

Claritin? That's not a fitness supplement. 😂

That's just taking care of the human underneath the muscles.

Taking care of yourself isn't always some massive lifestyle overhaul.

Sometimes it's as simple as buying the right groceries.

Drinking your water.
Eating enough protein.
Fueling your training.
Taking your daily meds.
Getting your workout in.
And doing it again tomorrow.

Getting in shape is great.

But learning that you can trust yourself to do what you said you were going to do changes way more than your body.

That carries into everything.

MASTER THE BASICS. THEN MAKE IT YOURS. 🔥

Everybody wants the new exercise.

The fancy variation.
The “optimal” movement.
The thing they saw somebody doing on TikTok yesterday.

But have you actually earned the right to change it?

Learn to squat before you reinvent the squat.
Learn to hinge before you start getting creative with deadlifts.
Learn to press, pull, brace, breathe and CONTROL the weight.

Basics aren't beginner exercises.

They're the foundation that lets you eventually manipulate stance, tempo, range of motion, angles and loading to fit your body and your goals.

Variation has a purpose.

But variation without mastery is just noise.

Master the movement. Understand the WHY. Then make it yours.

Not sure whether your program is progressing you or just keeping you busy?

DM me “BASICS.”
I'll help you simplify it.

One of the hardest conversations I have with my clients..

The day I can't do something fun with my kids will be too late..

Playing tag
Showing him how to run a dig route
Hit a home run
Run around the bases

The day you catch me winded after a basic activity.. is the day I failed a a father.

Is that all that being a father is to me.. no.. but I'll be dammed if my son ever looks at me and goes to another man to show him how it's done..

His hero will always be the one who can do all things.. even if I can't.. I'll find a way

I know you're ready too.. this is your call out..

🤙 let's get it Daddy!!
