We had a great weekend down in Lexington, KY for the KDA Fall Classic!!

Some of the goals this weekend were to qualify for 2023 Regionals ahead of “normal” midwest schedule, and others were to gain exposure to new and/or challenging FEI levels.

Super proud of Marilyn with Eros (4th Freestyle and PSG) and Galee (2nd-3), and Joey with DeLorean (PSG) and Phantom (2nd Freestyle) for bringing home our favorite colors this weekend!! 💙❤️ There were some challenges to overcome as well as some very impressive moments, but as always, I am very proud of all the hard work and dedication these riders put into their riding and progress, day in and day out.

Also, congrats to Joey for achieving her bronze freestyle bar!!! More swag for the jacket! 🤩

Looking forward to seeing everyone again next month back in Lexington for the US Dressage Finals!!

Congrats to Team Kemmi Dressage on another successful (albeit interesting at times, lol) show weekend! We had some scratches today due to the weather, but came away with a lot of great ring experience and some great scores! 🔥

Marilyn and Eros received their last two regional qualifying scores for 4th freestyle and PSG, and are now ready to head to St. Louis in both of these divisions for the first time! 🥰

Galee received one of her qualifying scores for third level but was forced to scratch today due to the weather. But luckily, they will get their chance again next month! 💞

Janice and Clifford came out for their very first show together, and even though he had some baby horse nervousness, Janice was able to successfully guide him through Training-3, earning a qualifying score for regionals and 7th in a pack of 37 horses! 🎉

Joey and DeLorean got BOTH their qualifying scores for 3rd freestyle over the weekend, ending on a high note today with a 74+% and High Point Jr/YR Freestyle Champs! 💪🏼

Joey also came out with Phantom for his first time trying to qualify at 2nd level, and did just that - also ending today on a high note with a 70% and High Point Jr/YR Second Level Champs! 🥇

And last, but certainly not least, Donovan, owned by Valeri, finished up his regional qualifying scores for 3rd freestyle, and also gave 4-3 a go for the very first time, receiving all of his necessary scores for regional qualifiers and finishing out the weekend as High Point Open Fourth Level Champion. 🖤

Thank you to Brave Horse Ohio for putting on another fabulous show. In spite of all of the rain, the competition rings were in great shape today!!

What a great weekend at Majestic Farm!!

Connie and Titan came out again and brought home blues in both classes!! So proud of how well they did this weekend at her very first show!!! Huge accomplishment!!! 🌟

Joey and Phantom won again in the first freestyle, and secured their spot at Regionals! Only second level to go now and they’re ready to rock the end of the season! 💪🏼

After just two months together, Joey and DeLorean brought home another blue in fourth level, and Joey now has completed 1/2 of her silver medal!!! It’s right around the corner for these two!!!🥈

Great first day at Majestic Farm!!!

Connie Patrick competed in her very first recognized show EVER, bringing home two blues and high point training level AA!!! AMAZING Connie and Titan!! 💪🏼

Joey Parada received a qualifying score for regionals at first freestyle with Phantom, and debuted at fourth level with DeLorean, securing her first score toward her silver medal!!!!!🥈

Don Draper, owned by Valerie Sicke, came out for his first time at third freestyle, and also received a qualifying score for regionals. 🥳

Team Kemmi was back at it again at the Hoosier Horse Park in Indiana, and to say it was a whirlwind of a weekend is an understatement (literally…since there were ACTUAL tornadoes…) 🌪😳

So many firsts this weekend, and we’re not just talking about ribbons!! 😜

Marilyn Coleman did her very first freestyle ever, and while she and Eros had some necessary show ring discussions on the first day, they came away today with a qualifying score for regionals and a 69+% at fourth level freestyle!! Amazing!! ⭐️

Marilyn ALSO piloted her mare, Galee, through her very first show at third level, winning blues in every single class and reserve high point champion AA!! 🥂

Donovan, owned by Valerie Pervo, came out for his first show in almost two years and clutched two solid qualifying scores for regionals at third level, winning reserve high point champion Open. But even more impressive…he debuted at Fourth level with another solid score and won ANOTHER reserve high point champion Open!! Excited for this horse to hit the FEI arena!! 💪🏼

Joey Parada rode Phantom in her first freestyle ever at first level, and while she did a knockout job, her choreographer (ahem) neglected to include some vital circle movements - but rest assured, they will be headed to regionals at first level freestyle later this year. She also rode Phantom to the high point champion Jr/YR in second level, and secured her second level scores for her bronze medal!! 😍

Joey also rode her new horse, DeLorean, competing for her very first time at third level after less than two months of familiarization with him. Not only did they win their division in every single class, but they came away as the third level high point champion Jr/YR. They are now qualified for regionals at third level!! 🥳

This is also a special day for Joey, as she has done such a wonderful job training and showing her horses in the last year, that today we are proud to induct her into the medal category. Congratulations to USDF’s newly minted Bronze Medalist!!!! You’ve earned it, Joey, and we are so proud to have you on our team and be a part of your journey!!🥉

That’s a wrap on the first show of the season!! The ladies brought home some more pretty ribbons today! 🤩

Marilyn and Galee dominated in the 2-3 again, winning their class in convincing fashion, and Eros showed up for his PSG earning a qualifying score for regionals and a close 2nd! ⭐️

After Joey’s 78% 1-3 test yesterday, we decided to try something different (just for fun - because Dressage is fun…) in her TOC class today, with no expectations as we were throwing her in a new, higher level at the last minute. But of course, you can’t phase Joey and Phantom! They secured the win in their second level division with a 66% and earned Joey’s third score toward her bronze medal. 😎🔥

So pleased with everyone this weekend, and looking forward to Harmony in the Park in two weeks!!

First show day of the season is in the books!! So proud of everyone!! The weather was less than cooperative making for a hard go in the FEI arena today, but we are so proud of Joey Parada and Marilyn Coleman!!

Marilyn and Galee got a qualifying score for Regionals at 2nd level, winning their class with a 68% and taking the highest second level score in their division!

Joey and Phantom received their second qualifying score for 1st level - and the HIGHEST SCORE OF THE SHOW with a 78%!! First level champions 🥇💪🏼

So excited for tomorrow and what a great way to start the season!!
