A lot of women come to me convinced they have a structural problem with their tailbone: an old injury that never healed, a fall they had years ago, a difficult birth that left everything feeling “off.” They’ve had imaging done. They’ve been told nothing is wrong. And yet the pain is still very much there.

What the imaging doesn’t show is how tight the pelvic floor muscles are. Those muscles attach directly to your tailbone, and when they’re chronically tight, they pull it into an abnormal position that creates real, daily pain. Pain that feels exactly like a bruise or an injury that never healed.

Because in a way, it is. The injury itself may have resolved. But the muscle pattern that formed in response to it never did.

The good news is that chronic muscle tension can be released. Your pelvic floor can learn a new pattern. And when it does, the “tailbone injury” that’s been with you for years often disappears along with it.

That’s exactly what we work on inside the Tight Pelvic Floor Fix.

The body isn’t made up of independent parts. It’s one connected system, and there can be drivers elsewhere in the body that are continually feeding pelvic floor tension:

- Jaw tension
- Shoulder tension
- Neck tension
- Forward head posture
- Mouth breathing

All of these can drive pelvic floor tension without you realizing it, which is exactly why release work alone sometimes isn’t enough to make it stick.

Comment FIX and I’ll show you how to address all of it, not just the pelvic floor in isolation 👇🏻

Have you ever felt confused by the breathing? I can absolutely assure you, you are not the only one!

We dive into breath mechanics in so much detail inside the tight pelvic floor fix. It’s the literal foundation of everything I teach and it’s super important for treating pelvic floor dysfunction 👌🏻

Just comment FIX if you want to learn how 👇🏻

Fibre, water, MiraLax, prunes, the little stool under your feet. If you’ve done all of it and you still walk away from the toilet feeling like you’re never done, this one is for you.

Making stool softer only helps if the way out is open. To have a bowel movement, the muscles of your pelvic floor need to relax and lengthen so the re**um can empty. When those muscles are already tight, they can stay closed, or even squeeze harder as you push. So you strain, only a little comes out, you never feel done, and that full feeling follows you around for the rest of the day.

This pattern is a coordination problem at the exit, which is why more fibre and stronger laxatives so often don’t touch it. Softer stool still can’t get through a door that won’t open.

If you’re also doing Kegels for other pelvic floor symptoms: a Kegel practices closing the exit. Your muscle first needs to learn how to open and let go, and then how to do both on purpose.

This exit issue often gets missed, because almost every conversation about constipation is about diet.

If this is you, just comment FIX and I’ll teach you exactly what to do 👇🏻
