Your expertise as a 15x All-American, Delaware Track & Field Hall of Famer, and true track & field guru has been instrumental in shaping the growth, success, and development of countless athletes.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, passion, and experience and for helping build the foundation of what Delaware Elite Track Club is today. We are truly grateful for everything you continue to pour into our athletes and our program.

Happy Birthday to our Team Coordinator who truly does it ALL! 🙌

Stephanie is truly the best! Delaware Elite wouldn’t be the team we are without her and everything she does. From planning events, handling registrations, keeping us organized, coordinating the team, stepping in to coach when needed… and, of course, making sure everybody gets their water ice! 😉😂🍧

And that’s just naming a FEW of the things she does!

So much of what Stephanie does happens behind the scenes, and she doesn’t always get the credit she deserves. But today is the perfect day to remind her just how much all of her hard work, time, and dedication mean to Delaware Elite. 💙💛

She is always there when the team needs her, and we are incredibly thankful for everything she does for our athletes, families, coaches, and the entire team!

Before she was pouring into our athletes, Coach Kendra was absolute LEGENDARY on the track:

We have a Rice University med student entering her junior year, a Harvard student entering his sophomore year, a freshman starting Brown University and a rising football star entering his senior year of high school! They all ran for Delaware Elite track club! We are all so proud of them and very excited about their success in the future! 💪🏾💪🏾✨️

Today, we mourn the loss of Jamil Merrell, a beloved father, coach, mentor, and one of Delaware's finest athletes.

From his accomplishments as a standout high school football player, Division I collegiate athlete, and NFL draft alongside his twin brother Jamal, to the countless young lives he poured into through coaching and training, Jamil's impact reached far beyond the game.

As the father of Delaware Elite’s Jamil Jr, he exemplified what it meant to lead with love, discipline, and purpose. His encouragement, wisdom, and unwavering belief in young people helped shape not only his son, but generations of athletes across our state.

The entire Delaware Elite Track Club family extends our deepest condolences to our athlete Jamil Jr, the Merrell family, friends, teammates, and all whose lives were touched by Jamil. His legacy will continue to live on in every life he inspired.

Rest peacefully, Coach Jamil. Your race was well run, and your impact will never be forgotten.
