The old saying "it is better to appear stupid instead of opening your mouth and removing all doubt" doesn't really translate that well to social media, apparently. I'm always equal parts disappointed and surprised at the number of people that will argue about things they clearly have no understanding of, and be so convinced they are right. It's worse in the internet because there are no repercussions for their willful ignorance. I've had people argue with me about how state contracts work for ordering cars, how law enforcement training works, and how the courts work because they watched a 3 minute YouTube video made by some guy calling himself TheTroothWizard or some such nonsense.
The picture below is a 5-star level OOF, complete with some education by someone actually knowledgeable. This is up there with those people that say "I know how to treat a generating wound: put a tampon in it!"
