Good afternoon,

This is a post that is hard for me to make with how important this event is to me and the karting community. SPUDCUP will unfortunately not be happening this year. With the new addition to my family and the time needed for me to support my wife and children I cannot put the effort in necessary to put on the level of event that Spud Cup requires.

For 2027 we will be at Motorplex at the Mill. A new layout, upgraded camping facility, concert, drive in movies, the large payouts, and the fun big time racing we know and love.

After last weekend's Championship race here are your 2026 Kart Idaho Sprint Series Champions!

We want to thank everyone who came out and ran this past weekend it was a great weekend of racing across the board and the points battles were fantastic to watch! Special thanks to everyone who came out and worked and helped put the race on. Without you we wouldn't have races so thank you. Also a big thanks to all the sponsors that made this weekend happen and have some money on the line for our racers;

Two points battles in particular were extremely tight in SR206 and SR100. In SR206 there was a tie in points after Myles Pederson got maximum points possible and it resulted in it going to the second tie breaker which is most poles which remarkably came down to a tiebreaker during round #4 where there was a tie for pole position which Gavin came out on top of after posting a faster second-best lap in that qualifying session. Incredible to have a points championship determined by less than .0001 seconds. In SR100 Blake Feely and Wyatt Knopp both were in position to win the championship with Knopp completing a late race pass on Feely which would be the Championship winning pass with just three laps to go in the race season.

Points Championship on full display this weekend in four of our classes!

Not only is there money on the line but some points championships will be settled this weekend as well.

On Saturday our four strokes will run their championship races and the JR2, SR, and Heavy points championships are still up for grabs. On Sunday we have a very close points battle in SR100 between our top three in points and that will only make Sunday even more intense for our two stroke drivers.

If you are wanting to come watch spectating is free in the spectator area along the trees at the track the action will be intense!
