Quick update from the studio: we’re opening up semi-private training.

That means two people can schedule during the same hour, with me coaching both. Same coaching. More accountability. More motivation. And a little more flexibility when your week decides to become a completely different week.

It’s not a class. It’s still personal training, just with a little more room to make your schedule work.

Need to move, add, or change a session? You can now check what’s open and schedule yourself through the website.

More options. Same studio.

Simplicity done consistently leads to mastery.

That idea has changed my life more than almost any complicated program ever has.

When I trained to break a Guinness World Record with kettlebell swings, I did not begin with some heroic, perfectly optimized routine.

I started with five swings.

That was it.

Then I added one rep at a time.

As the habit became normal, I added more weight, more volume, and more challenge.

Eventually, that tiny routine grew into the training that helped me break a world record.

The strength came later.

The confidence came later.

The motivation came later.

First came the repeat.

I use the same strategy for the things I am naturally bad at, avoid, procrastinate on, or convince myself I am “not the kind of person” who does them.

I make the first step almost too easy to fail.

One page.
Five minutes.
One phone call.
One set.
One small piece of proof.

Then I do it again.

People often wait for motivation before they begin.

But I have found that motivation is usually a reward for beginning.

You take a small action.

That action creates evidence.

The evidence changes your belief.

The belief creates momentum.

Then momentum makes the next action easier.

You do not need to dominate the thing you suck at today.

You need to build a relationship with showing up for it.

Keep it simple.

Repeat it long enough.

Then earn the right to add more.

That is how a habit becomes a skill.

That is how a skill becomes part of your identity.

And that is how simplicity, done consistently, becomes mastery.

Forgot to post this a while ago but I had the honor of coaching for his first powerlifting meet. I’m grateful to have my first opportunity to train someone specifically for powerlifting and it was quite rewarding. I’m so proud of his performance, effort, and resilience. Bonus that he got a 1st place and 3rd place outcome. Looking forward to coaching him through next year.

I’ve never taken a week off to do nothing alone. I’ve learned that life is better with consistent recovery devices like float tanks, saunas, cold plunges, hot tubs, massages, Mother Nature and 🍄.
I’m left to wonder how many people perpetually live with an overstimulated nervous systems that fundamentally changes them for the worse. For far too long I’ve been stuck in overstimulation, riding caffeine, work, and intoxicants. This state of being is not rewarding and feels empty and draining, as though one is passing time rather than fully living it. Nothing feels better than nothingness. Being dissolved into a being that doesn’t worry about external life but instead flourishes from within. Overwhelm is a regular state for most of us and we don’t even know it. Silence truly is golden. I hope to return to nothingness again soon.

📅 When I was younger, New Year’s resolutions were celebrated—a time when setting goals felt like a ubiquitous collective ritual, filled with optimism and hope. Everyone cheered each other on, and the ball drop at Times Square was a magical moment.

Fast forward to today, and it seems like society has taken a sharp turn, now we wear diapers to watch the ball drop🥴. All kidding aside, resolutions are often met with cynicism or outright ridicule. If you have goals, people mock you for being “one of those people” destined to fail. Somewhere along the way, we let our culture embrace tearing each other down instead of lifting one another up.

As a personal trainer, I see firsthand how transformative it is when people believe in their ability to change. But I also see how fear of failure—or worse, fear of judgment—holds so many back. Instead of growing bitter over our past struggles, wouldn’t it be better to learn from them and encourage others to keep trying?

The truth is, New Year’s is a perfect time for a fresh start. It’s symbolic—a clean slate that gives us permission to dream again. And sometimes, that little spark of symbolism is what we need to take the first step toward real change. Perhaps you've failed before, that just means you have to try again with a more calculated approach.

Let’s break the cycle of cynicism. Encourage your friends. Hold them accountable.

If you’re setting a resolution this year, I’m rooting for you. But don't make me look like an a$$ for posting this, Stick-To-It and prove them wrong 💪

I’ve been working on a breathing book and after doing months of research I heard an influencer say, “there is no proof that nose breathing is better than mouth breathing”and I heavily disagreed. For that reason I decided to take Stanfords Storm research tool for a test drive and I think it heavily proved my point. Share this with someone that might benefit.

I convinced my friend to start a business with me based on this ONE supplement.🧔🏻‍♂️🌞

Starting a supplement company has always been my dream, but I didn’t want to do it alone. I passed up stable lab jobs and the regular comforts of the 9-to-5, instead launching my personal training studio, Stick-To-It Fitness, and immersing myself in business and nutrition books and podcasts, constantly pitching friends to join me along the way.

For years, I searched for the right partner—someone who shared my vision. But most people preferred the safety of their careers, leaving me to wrestle with the challenges of entrepreneurship alone. Then I met Jimmy Hickey, founder of Findlay Hats. When he shared his passion for Sea Moss and the incredible energy it gave him, I knew this was the opportunity I’d been waiting for.

I had to create a product so incredible that Jimmy would want to share it with the world.

But the journey was anything but smooth. I spent months experimenting with formulas, facing one setback after another. The real challenge came when I needed to find a manufacturer who could meet the high standards I set. After countless rejections and near-giving-up moments, I finally found the right partner—a nutritional scientist and manufacturer who understood the vision.

That’s when Ocean Greens was born. Together, Jimmy and I launched Sunrise Superfoods, bringing to life an all-in-one supplement packed with marine nutrients, adaptogens, and probiotics. Ocean Greens isn’t just another greens powder—it’s the result of relentless pursuit, shared vision, and a commitment to creating something that truly works.

I genuinely believe in this product. My personal training clients know that I stand for authenticity in a market filled with empty promises. Ocean Greens is the real deal, and I’m confident it’s the best greens powder out there today.

If you want to support the dream and boost your daily health, check out sunrisesuperfoods.com today.

I believe you can re-learn addiction, using it in your favor. Sure you can become unbalanced and abuse yourself with over exercising, but the idea is that you can get hooked on positive things rather than destructive ones. If you have an addictive nature, channel your energy and it can take you very far.
