On Sunday, Coach Cal conquered his 24th Ironman triathlon in Hamburg Germany. Through a steady, unrelenting rainfall that was compounded by gale force winds the entire day, he finished in the 13 hour range, a time better than he has seen in 10 years.
When he finished he said, “Do hard things, put in the work, and GOD will see you though.”
Lead quietly by example. Let your actions speak - and not your words.
As Theadore Roosevelt so eloquently stated:
“It is not the critic who counts. Not the man who points out where the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man in the arena whose face is marred by sweat, dust and blood. The man who strives valiantly and in the end knows the triumph of high achievement. And who at least, if he fails, he fails daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those poor and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.”
