“Be a good ancestor.”
As yogis, we seek to live a “Dharma Life”. This is a life that is fueled with purpose, motivated by growth and illuminated through truth. Easy enough, right?
The root of the Sanskrit word Dharma comes from the word Dhr, which means to *hold or *sustain. We *hold ourselves accountable for the transgressions of our lineage. We *sustain harmony of the world around us by providing a better future for the generations to come. That is the Dharma Life.
Which brings us to this day. While for many Thanksgiving is a time for family, gratitude and celebration, for others it’s a day of deep mourning and immense cultural loss. It’s our karmic responsibility right this wrong and shine a light for future generations.
The teaching of Dharma exists alongside that of Karma- You can’t have one without the other. Karma is the the sum of our integrity, actions and intentions- and not just individually, but collectively as an entire species.
Karma puts us in the driver seat, a powerful realization that we can help unwind the bad and illuminate the good.
Biggest heart felt thank you all the yogis who showed up this morning to unwind and illuminate.
Your donations will serve the Massachusetts Center for Native American Awareness, helping alleviate the karma of our lineage and provide a better future for those to come. For information on how to donate, follow the link in our bio.
