Dear Community,
The Sanskrit word yoga means “union.” It refers to a union of the small, individual self with the whole, infinite supreme and divine self. Yoga, in essence, encompasses every thread woven in the spiritual and material tapestry of our lives. A continuation of regular practice is of utmost importance as collective stress levels rise, and every day we are bombarded with information that may disrupt our mental, physical, and emotional health. In times of stress, the immune system weakens, and the nervous system will become impacted, which opens the path to sickness.
We know there have been a lot of emails filling your inboxes over the last week, and we want to make sure we are intentionally honoring your process during this time of indecision of how to navigate social settings. After consideration of the CDC guidelines and recommendations on sanitation for balancing the virus in public spaces, we want you to know we stand in the belief that we have a responsibility to provide an environment in which all feel cared for during this time. In consideration to our community, teachers, and health care providers in mind, we are taking extra precautions to support the health and well being of our community.
The coronavirus or COVID-19 is a fluctuating situation that is impacting the country in many ways. The California Department of Public Health is reporting that although there are concerns about the coronavirus, the health risk to the general public in California remains low. While COVID-19 has a high transmission rate, it has a low mortality rate. We want you to know that the health and safety of our students and staff are of the utmost importance at Woven We Are. As information about the COVID-19 virus continues to evolve, we feel it is essential for you to know how Woven is choosing to respond.
In our efforts to not contribute to the spread of COVID-19, we are temporarily closing our doors as of Monday, March 16th, 2020.
We know this feels like an overwhelming and confusing time, and we look forward to opening our doors for us all to come together in community, again.
In love,
Woven We Are
