We spend a lot of time in health and fitness talking about getting smaller.
Lose weight.
Eat less.
Get leaner.
Lower your body fat.
But there’s another question we should be asking:
Are we building a body that can actually support us for the rest of our lives?
Our latest blog from Allie takes a deeper look at bone health and why it’s about so much more than calcium or a number on a bone-density scan.
Strong bones are part of the picture—but so are:
💪 Muscle and strength
⚡ Power
⚖️ Balance
🏋️ Progressive resistance training
🥩 Adequate protein and nutrition
☀️ Calcium, vitamin D, and micronutrients
🍽️ Eating enough to actually support the body
And these things matter long before we consider ourselves “old.”
One of our biggest takeaways:
The goal shouldn’t simply be to weigh less.
The goal should be to build a body that can handle life.
That means having enough strength, muscle, bone, balance, and resilience to keep doing the things you love for as long as possible.
That’s a big part of what we mean when we say:
Everyone deserves to be an athlete.
