Southfork Bassmasters Southfork is a BASS affiliated club. We fish 10 events a year on the 3rd Saturday of every month starting in January. Club dues are $100 a year.

This goes towards year end awards, BASS fees, permits & 6 man team costs. At each club event there is a voluntary $20 pot . From that we pay out 1st ,2nd, 3rd and BF. Members only can fish the pot. Guests can show up at any time and pay $5.00 to get in the BF pot. We have around 25 active members who usually actually fish but our Facebook family includes anyone who just wants to talk fishing. We h

ave a few ringers and then some hackers like me. Some guys are ultra competitive, some are just glad to be out fishing with friends. If other words we have all types. Club president is Connery Swinson


Lastly we fish the lakes of the Catawba and Yadkin chain mostly. Gas prices keep up within a 80 miles radius of Charlotte.

The dog days are upon us. High Rock coughed a few today but it was tough for most. We had 12 boats show up
Congrats to Charlie Lechner on the win with 11.7lb plus BF of 5.42lb.
2nd Derek Lilley 10.59 lb
3rd Dave Clemmons 10.55 lb.
Next up in Sept will be lake Murray

20 anglers / 15 boats showed for the March Club T today on Lake Murray. Fishing was sporadic.

Great turnout for Hickory with 18 boats. Water was muddy and water temps started at 52 and were around 56 by end of day.
Fishing was slow in the morning but once the wind picked at around 11.00am the fish started to bite. Most said SQ Bill cranks, chatter baits and spinnerbaits were the tools of choice.

Lots of fish caught just not many big ones

I fished with Mr. Kramer Davis. He kicked my butt up shallow early with a rattle trap and had 4 in boat with me at zero trying to get them to bite a jerk bait. I moved out deeper and went to wackin on the skinny spots with the A-RIG.

Congrats to Dave on the Win. He also won the Wylie winter on Sunday with 17lbs so he had a good weekend.

February 25th Lake Hickory Yes this is one week later than Normal to avoid CBC conflict. J
March 18th Lake Murray 7.30 am to 3.30pm event to allow for travel time.
April 22nd Lake Norman at Night 7.00PM to 2.00am. That’s right. The first annual Shad Spawn night event
