Last night the Kansas City Golden Gloves had a banquet to award and recognize our boxing community. I was told Coach Larry Edgar was getting award for his dedication to boxing. Team LEBC was all there to except the award.
This has been a very hard year for me and the home that Larry and I created at Authentic has been changed.
I no longer am apart of it, but I can never forget so many wonderful years me and Larry have spent as we pulled up to the gym and walked down the stairs. Unlocking his office and watching our fighters enter the gym. Authentic was so special to Larry. He was so proud of his Team, never without wearing his shirt.
Last night we was given the greatest honor. Coach Larry Edgar got 2023 Coach of the year. This is such an incredible thing, all the years at Authentic and all his fighters that believed in him. Your Coach is recognized for all he has done. Authentic be proud to say, my Coach is 2023 Coach of the year.

What a beautiful presentation the KC Golden Gloves did for Coach Larry. I felt so much love and support from everyone. Thank you.
Thank you Team LEBC for supporting Authentic and being there for me.
Authentic fighters didn’t get the Wins tonight but gave it their best. Nin Za fought a real tough guy. The guy had more experience. Nin did his best.
Jesus Palomares fought a tough fight. With the other fighter holding and getting his mouth guard knocked out 2 times. We gave more punches and was more aggressive but some how the other guy got the Win. The crowd was so loud with disapproval.
Jesus you did an awesome job and your Team is so proud of you. Keep your head held high.
Great corner work Calvin TheGreat Metcalf and Kevin Soltero Ramirez.

Authentic had 2 fighters fighting in the simi finals.
Both win and advance to the finals Saturday Night.
Great job Nin Za on a unanimous decision win.
And Jesus Palomares gets a well deserved stoppage Win.
You both made Coach Larry proud.

The Team done real good tonight. We went 2-1. Coaches Calvin TheGreat Metcalf and Kevin Soltero Ramirez did a great job of coaching. Kevin didn’t get a fight so he helped work the corner.
Brian Porras fought a tough fight and gave it his best. This is the first time he has fought without his Coach Larry. Mixed emotions is what he had I’m sure. For him to step in the ring made his whole team proud. Experience good or bad is what it takes to be a Champion. Coach and your team are proud of you.
Kerron Oyesam was the next of our fighters out. He put on an incredible fight. Much improvement from your last fight. Kerron got his Win in the Golden Gloves.
Are last fighter of the night was Jesus Palomares, I can’t say enough about Jesus. A none stop true Authentic fighter. Winning ever round huge.
Good job Authentic.
I want to thank everyone. You all treated me with open arms. This has been so hard for me and my family. You all made me feel so special.
Thank you KC Golden Gloves for your donation to our new gym. Missy Fitzwater you are a beautiful person. Thank you for being so kind to me and my family.
Thank you Cheyenne Krulic for the Go Chicken Go.

It was a good feeling being at the amateur fights tonight. Kevin and Brian didn’t get matched and Nin and Kerron fought there best but didn’t get the W. Proud of Calvin for being there Coach. This is hard on all of us with out Coach. We will never give up. We all went over to Marcus Garza house and watched the PPV fights and ate Pizza that Cesar bought. Thanks for the invite.
