Polyester (Poly) banding tends to be less expensive than steel banding and safer to use. Advances in polyester technology have resulted in banding materials that are a viable alternative to steel banding. Because of its flexibility and strength, it can handle heavy loads and absorb a high amount of energy without breaking or elongating under tension. There are fewer user injuries due to burrs, lifting heavy coils or sharp edges of cut ends.
