I have to get this off my chest as there is a lot of conversation about the prize fund for this year.
In reality, it is what it is at this point. This is what the league voted. Let's not patronize the bowlers that we have in the league by labeling them. That’s not fair to anyone. Period. People are bowling in this league because of the competitive nature that they hold. Let's foster that in the right way. Not belittling or categorizing folks. We are better than that.
The league is made up of a wide caliber of bowlers. People want to be in this league for various reasons. And quite honestly, I am ashamed to be president at this moment. Just because of the entitlement that is being displayed.
If you truly want this to be a highly competitive league, that attracts bowlers then let's carry these discussions out in a way that we can attract the best of the best and those whom aspire to be the best they can be. Otherwise we will face the elimination of teams or worse the demise of the league, or the game itself.
The right time to bring these items up for discussion and league adoption is at the next organizational meeting which takes place in the fall, just before league starts. The organizational meeting is the ideal platform to propose changes and then discuss as a league and then vote on it. Not here on Facebook.
