FIRST OFF….. there’s no magic cure, fix all, if someone says they have the secret, that no one else is privy to, run, fast!
1) go to bed earlier. Sleep is where your body initiates it’s recovery process, metabolically resets, digests, and everything in between
2) drink more water than you are. Water literally hydrates your cells, every oz of your being requires hydration to function optimally
3) go on a walk. If weight training is too much for you right now, the best thing you can do is put your feet in motion. MOTION IS LOTION….the more you move, the better you feel
4) ignore trendy diets. Diets are always unsustainable. If there’s a name for the diet, it’s probably not going to serve you well
5) get in touch with how much you’re eating. Whether be a fitness tracker at first, or a log, make note for 3-5 days if everything you eat, the calories, macros, etc, so you can get an objective POV on your energy intake
6) weight train. Find a way to get your foot in the door, there are endless resources available for free online. Weight training will have a greater impact on body composition than strictly cardiovascular training
7) eat your veggies. Be an ADULT! Incorporate your veg into each meal, in some way, the micronutrients in vegetables assist in carrying out essential body processes…don’t like veggies? Find a recipe, suck it up, eat them, you aren’t 5
8) avoid excessive dairy. Our bodies don’t really process dairy well, consume in moderation and/or find a substitute, such as almond milk (yes it’s still processed, but better than cows milk)
9) use a smaller plate. Changing your eating habits are all a mental game. Using a smaller plate will make your meal seam larger, more fulfilling
10) protein is #1. Consume your source of protein-whether it be animal or vegetable, as your first priority of creating the meal. Vegetarians make sure you’re getting suitable iron intake- especially women
