If you are reading this, you were probably hoping for some sort of fitness hack, but instead I'm going to give you the truth.
You will not lose your progress one your week long vacation. STOP LOSING INVALUABLE MEMORIES TO THE SCALE. Don't give an object that much power over your life. You do not exist to please other. This is life, so live it.
Enjoy a couple cocktails or desserts that you usually don't have. Go on long walks on the beach and share laughs are create memories with those you love.
Now this is not to say that you absolutely shouldn't go to the gym if you are on vacation. For some, it is a point of consistency in their routine, and it improves mental health.
So how can you tell if you should keep going or not? Ask yourself this:
If I were to miss my gym session would I feel guilty and/or look at my body in a more negative manner? Would I allow myself to eat the same things today if I go to the gym vs. if I don't?
If you feel guilt as a result of missing the gym, taking a step back just might be what the doctor has in store for you. Have fun this summer and always remember that ANY movement is good movement 💙
