We are extremely excited to announce that Rutland High School has been chosen to host the State Championship Soccer Games for Divisions 3 & 4 on Saturday, November 1, 2025! The Booster Club is honored to be able to help organize this event at Alumni Field, and we look forward to what has always been a great day of soccer and fun!

As you can imagine, this is quite a large undertaking, requiring a full community effort in order to make it a successful day. We are always so grateful to community members, parents, RHS staff, coaches, and area businesses for the tremendous amount of support we receive each year. Without all of you, this event could not happen, so thank you in advance!
It's one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, and as you may or may not know, all the funds raised by the Booster Club are used to support students, athletes and activities at both the high school and the middle school. Booster Club funds are used to make up for things the school budget is unable to provide such as replacement of worn out uniforms, equipment, entrance fees, facility fees, etc... so students can continue to participate in extracurricular sports and activities. All monies raised go into the Booster Club general fund for ALL students and activities. We realize that because this is a soccer event held at Alumni field, at times there is a misconception that all funds go specifically to that program. This is not the case. If you have questions about the process we use to distribute funds, please don't hesitate to reach out to us!
We need volunteers for all games throughout the day. You may volunteer for one, two or all three shifts, and you can choose how you'd like to volunteer. No experience necessary!! We have LOTS of "veteran" volunteers, so you will always be working with others who have "been there, done that", and can help show you the ropes! Shifts are 3.5 hours long, and the shift times, game times, and a brief description of each duty follows.
Game 1, Game Time: 11:00 a.m.
Shift time: 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Game 2, Game time: 1:30 p.m.
Shift time:1:00-4:30 p.m.
Game 3, Game Time: 4:00 p.m.
Shift time: 4:30-8:00 p.m.
Game 4, Game Time: 6:30 p.m.
Shift time: 4:30-8:00 p.m.
We need to fill the following:
Concessions: 5 volunteers needed for each game. Work in the stand making popcorn, hot chocolate, taking orders, serving food, making change, etc... All the profits from concessions goes to the Booster Club general fund for the students.
Ticket Booth/Ticket Checkers/E-Tickets: 3 volunteers needed for each game. The VPA has the tickets and money boxes. You just take money, make change and hand out tickets. Ticket proceeds go to the VPA, not RHS or the Boosters. The ticket checkers stand on the path a little way up from the booth checking for paper tickets and electronic tickets that have been purchased prior to the games via the VPA website.
Grill: 2 volunteers needed for each game. The grill will be located near the concession stand. Volunteers will be needed to assemble hot dogs/hamburgers/cheeseburgers and keep the stand supplied with these items.
50/50: 3 volunteers needed for each game. We need help selling, ripping tickets, making change. This is a pretty fast-paced volunteer slot, and if you like to interact with people, this is the spot for you!! After the initial "spectator rush" at the start of each game, we need pairs of volunteers to walk the stands prior to half time selling 50/50. Boosters keep 50% of the total funds raised here.
I know that's a long list, and we hope that you will consider helping us out this year. We look forward to lots of new faces! It's an exciting day of soccer, community, camaraderie and fun, and we have yet to find a volunteer who regretted spending some or all of their day helping out. AND, you get a free, very stylish, volunteer t-shirt to wear all day :)
