Equine-Assisted Growth, Learning, and Therapy We have since found that the need is great, and centers that serve such women are very few and far between.

Our Story

In Janaury 2018, Lea Ann had two dreams that were no doubt of Divine nature. While praying for clarification, she heard the Lord speak: "You are supposed to help other women who have suffered trauma and loss, using equine therapy." As of February/March 2018, we had already been given a ministry name and logo. Roger secured our domain and launched our website. "Reigns Down Ranch" is a bit of a play on words with so many meanings...in the type of equine therapy we'll be providing, reins are not necessary for the horses as there's no horseback riding involved, so the reins will be left off and down. All of our therapy will be carried out on the ground, allowing the client and horses to interact freely and at will. In undergoing this therapy process, we will encourage our participants to turn the reins of their hearts over to God, for healing to take place. We also pray that the Lord will Reign over this ministry He is entrusting to our care, and Reign Down upon us His provision and never-ending mercies that are new every morning. Lea Ann became an Certified Equine Specialist through E.A.G.A.L.A. (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) in October of 2020, and she is currently also seeking an Equine Science Certificate at Texas Tech University, which she plans to complete in the Fall of 2021. Me & my colorful critters are in the barn, all masked up to face the rest of the day, after equine assisted therapy with some young kiddos this morning. 🌟

I love that we ended our session by doing the chicken dance as we stood by the coops. 🐥 Shoutout to the creative licensed professional counselor who led our session today!
