Huge shoutout to one of our gym-goers, Michelle!

If you’ve been lifting around the Tiffin area for a while, this strong woman might be a familiar face! She has been training in our gym and recently competed in a weightlifting competition in Michigan. She competed against 27 other women between the ages 50 and 65.

Michelle crushed a 170lb bench press (yes you read that right) to win the competition! Congratulations Michelle, we’re pumped to see your hard work pay off!

We wanted to give a shoutout to one of our athletes who’s been training with GRITT for awhile: Reagan Fredritz

Reagan is a testament to an athlete locking in, trusting the process and reaping the rewards. If you’ve ever seen her training in the gym, you know we certainly have plenty of fun and laughs but every set and exercise she is letting us push her, and the results show.

Over the last year, she has gained A FOOT on her approach touch for volleyball (7’8 -> 8’8). Now she has grown about 2-3 inches over the last year, but that’s still 9-10 inches gained on her vertical.

The secret why? Reagan is STRONG and has no fear of pushing her muscles with weight loads that look like they are not for a 13 year old. Sled pulling over 350 pounds, deadlifting over 250 pounds, squatting 200 pounds and all the while pushing herself in every plyometric exercise to go with it.

Reagan is one of the awesome success stories at GRITT, which has led to her success playing on Black Swamp Volleyball National teams (which have won multiple championships by the way, let’s go girls). Give this girl a thumbs up and cheer for the progress she’s made so far, and watch as she continues to improve.

Took a trip to the SBC’s to watch a couple of the guys get after it!

It was electric watching these two wrestle. Mason rallied up, beating a couple state ranked opponents to finish 2nd and Carson starting with a pin and finishing in 5th place

With both of these athletes being only sophomores, we’re pumped to see them continue to grow and develop throughout their wrestling careers. Let’s go get it at sectionals next week!

This week’s featured client is Piper Reed!

Piper is a young athlete involved in multiple sports and therefore her program consists of agility, speed, plyometrics, and strength. We do a wide variety of exercises involving hurdle and cone work, sled pushes, or training with the dumbbells and barbells. Piper has been working hard to achieve her goal of being the best athlete she can be.

Taking a moment to recognize one of our new clients, Izzac, who has started training MMA and Cardio Kickboxing with our trainer Brayden. Izzac has fit right into our GRITT family and is picking things up very quickly

Today we worked on the 1-2 roll, 2-3, as well as the 1-2-3 roll 3-2. Izzac is looking better and better every day

This week’s featured client is a familiar face who we feature awhile back for her 2024 resolution goals: Erin Love!

Since then, Erin has absolutely crushed it in the gym. She highlighted her reasons and her “why” by saying she wanted to be healthiest and strongest version of herself to be the best mom and wife.

We couldn’t be more proud of the changes Erin has seen since then, with an emphasis on STRONG! She is one of our strongest clients, and has hit multiple PR’s over the last weeks all while achieving other health and fitness goals.

If you feel a bit stuck either with motivation, figuring out what to do in the gym, or just wanting to add some fun to your workouts then now is your chance!

We are offering 2 weeks of free training in the first two weeks of February.

Work with Abbie in a customized training program that includes creating a workout program specific to your goals, learning the proper way to perform exercises, accountability and nutrition education.

We absolutely love having Steve and Cindy in the gym training as a power couple! They always like when we dial it up a notch, so we throw on some 90’s grunge and get after it.

While physical changes you can see are awesome, the internal ones that impact our true health are equally if not more important! After some recent bloodwork, Steve and Cindy saw they had lowered their LDL’s and increase their HDL’s, along with some other positive health changes!

At GRITT we love to work hard and have fun doing it, but what makes it so rewarding is to know we’re creating an impact on people’s lives allowing them to spend more time doing the things they love.

Got to see the guys in action!

These two are impressive while at the gym, and even more so watching them move around on the court. It was exciting to see some of the movements we work on here be implemented into their game. As former athletes ourselves, it is rewarding to see what we do here at GRITT benefit this next generation of kids.
