Hi there friends. It’s been awhile since I posted so just thought I’d let y’all know what I’m up to. If you’ve fished with me over the last few years you’ve probably heard me talk about the adventure that my wife and I have been planning for. Well, the time is almost here and we will be departing on aboard our Nordic Tug “Back Forty” this summer.

Since we will be leaving mid season, and getting ready to leave before that, I have decided not to reinstate my annual Illinois guide license and to take a break from guiding until we get back. I want to thank all of you for your friendship over the last three seasons. I have learned a lot and value each of you.

I do hold my captains license and will be around through May, so if any of you still want some boat operation and safety training let me know. I’d love to get out on the water with you.

If any of you would like to follow our adventures aboard “Back Forty” stay tuned. I’ll be posting links for you to follow our progress and our stories. Meanwhile enjoy your time on the water. Have fun and be safe! Thank you!!!

We caught a few fish and had a ton of laughs and fun at the BWM Anglers season ending classic this weekend. It will be my last classic for a little while (more on that later). I can’t tell you how much I have learned and how much I appreciate the friendship of this group. Also a huge shout out to my partner Trent Turner. Always great time when you’re on the boat. Thanks to our host Ben Watts Marina. I look forward to seeing you all on the water this fall and again at the start of next season.

I’ve done instruction on some pretty nice boats but this 1963 Lone Star has to be one of the coolest. Thanks for the opportunity today Adam.
There is still lots of time this season to book your on the water boat training or guided fishing trips. Message me to book today.

We got out of our comfort zone last night and the result was a first place and big bass. With Trent Turner. Not pictured….what would have been my PB small mouth. Just a little 💔. But still a really fun night.
