A few days ago I visited my alma mater Penn State University. I've gone many times since graduating, but this trip was different for me. I'll explain.
My love for playing and coaching hockey combined with my business career experience inspired me to start my own company, Twig Sports, with a goal of helping others improve their skills and achieve their dreams.
This weekend I had the wonderful privilege of walking around State College and watching the hockey game. I met some players and happily showed off the Twig Handle, a training product that I invented. I experienced this with my wife (we are newly married) and having her by my side, in person and consistent support, made this weekend all the more rewarding. This experience was a joyous intersection of my past college memories, present life, and future aspirations. I'm grateful for the family and friends in my life throughout my journey so far.
I'm reminded that desire, dedication, discipline, and determination are all critical to success. I encourage everyone to dream big, work hard, and pursue your passion. You don't have to know your final destination today, but if you set a goal and take one step at a time you will go a long distance.
