One heck of a battle under the lights tonight.

Our Putnam County Midgets left everything on the field in the Class 2 District Championship game, battling until the final out in a hard-fought 7-4 finish. While the season came to a bittersweet end with a second-place district finish, this team gave our community plenty to be proud of all season long.

From big wins and comeback moments to grit, heart, and brotherhood, this group represented Putnam County Baseball the right way every single night.

Congratulations to our players and coaches on an outstanding season. Thank you, seniors, for the leadership, memories, and legacy you leave behind. Once a Midget, always a Midget. ⚾💙

The Putnam County R-I Athletic Hall of Fame exists to recognize and celebrate the athletes, coaches, teams, and contributors who have brought pride, honor, and distinction to our school district through athletics and sportsmanship.

Now is your opportunity to help honor those who helped shape Putnam County athletics and left a lasting legacy for future generations. Nominations may be submitted by any individual, and supporting documentation is encouraged.

As we begin preparing for the 2026–2027 school year, all students participating in MSHSAA-sponsored sports and activities must complete the required annual preparticipation documentation and physical requirements prior to participation.
