I couldn't be any prouder of this squad! We haven't gotten the number of games in that we wanted to this summer due to weather. Last weekend, we played for the first time in a month, and needless to say, we had to knock some rust off, going 1-3. We were told we weren't good enough or competitive enough to compete at a high level. So I decided to let the girls know. Their response was to show up and show out! After going 2-0 in pool play in the USFA State on Friday night, we made the dreaded mistake of losing the first game in bracket play Saturday morning. We had to really dig in deep. These ladies went on a run through the losers' bracket for five games straight, ending up in fourth place out of fourteen. I've coached quite a few lineups over the past four years, but to watch this group buy in on leaning on each other and becoming a team was awesome to witness! All-In is a mindset that we preach and ask everyone to buy in, not just the players, but our parents also. We may have come up one game short of making the podium, but I couldn't be any prouder of any team I've coached. This was an absolute team effort! Proud of these ladies!
