Barbells for the Girls starts in 1 week 💖 June’s focus is: Foundations 🔥! Each session will be about building a good foundation for future growth!

Some questions you may have about the new class:
What is it? 🍑
This is a small group strength training session that gets you comfortable using a barbell and dumbbells, while growing stronger in key movement patterns for everyday life! Each month’s class is based on an overall focus to help you improve in different aspects of training each month. Plus, you receive personal tracking sheets to help you see your progress over the month! 💪🏻

Do I have to come to every class? ✅
Not at all! You can come to any classes you’d like, BUT come to each class in the month is more fun for you to see your tracking sheets fill in!
I just ask you book your spot ahead of time. There are only 5 spots available per class, so walk-ins can’t be guaranteed a spot!

What level of class is it? 📊
This class is for all levels!! There always modifications for beginners or more someone more advanced.

Why should I try this? 🤔
This is not your average fitness class. We’re not doing intervals or HIIT, we’re weight lifting in a small group setting where you receive personalized attention from the coach (aka me) to help you improve in your lifting form which leads to being stronger.
This class is to help you feel more confident in using similar equipment in your own workouts outside of this whether you train with me or on your own!

When is it? 📅
Every Monday @ 6:30pm
45-60 minute duration
The first 2 classes of the month are lower body focused, the last 2 classes of the month are upper body focused. If there are 5 Monday’s, that 5th session is a special layout for bonus weeks!

How much does it cost? 💵
This class is $20 per session, OR
Sign up for the month and receive a special price!

💖 Barbells for the Girls💖
Mondays @ 6:30PM
45mins-1hr
$20 per class
This is a small group strength training session. The goal is to get you more comfortable using a barbell and grow stronger in movement patterns you use for everyday life.

The class’ focus is different each month, but repeats key concepts including the first two weeks are Lower Body, and the last two weeks are upper body!

Tuesdays @ 9:30AM & Fridays @ 6:30PM

$15 (Class Packs of 4 & 8 also available)
This is a full body interval style class where we do different exercises each class. You’ll use a variety of equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells, glute bands, and more!

Join me on Monday, May 25th (Memorial Day) for my Strength for the Summer class where it’s all about growing strong for summer!💪🏻 ☀️

Where: 5390 Fulton Dr. NW Canton, OH 44718-inside Shirley’s School of Dance
When: 5/25 @ 10am (duration 45 minutes)
What: Interval style class with focus on using dumbbells &/or kettlebells to build strength, along with a warm up and cool down!
Cost: $15.00 per person, (this class is not included in the B***y Camp class pack as it is not a regularly scheduled class)

Coming in with a 4 exercise quad & glute day so that you can have an effective workout without spending 2 hours on the gym 👏🏻

🍑Sumo Deadlifts
🍑Reverse Lunges
🍑Glute Bridges
🍑Banded Lateral Squat Walk (if I was in the gym I’d switch these out for the abduction machine, but we go with what we got)

From the time I started going to the gym in 2015(maybe 2016), my goal was to be able to do a pull up. I got close so many times BUT I really saw improvement and reached the goal in 2024.

I worked hard on improving my strength, but consistently including these 3 movements I feel helped me finally see progress!

Also, having a neutral grip made a big difference for me!!

Gotta little hamstring & glute day coming at ya 🍑👏🏻

4 exercises to keep things effective but simple
• RDL 8-10 reps x3
• Lying hamstring curl 8-10 x3
• SL Glute bridge 10 reps x3
• Banded clamshells 10-12 x2-3
