Since 2000, The Green Family YMCA celebrates a healthy community with a bright, new facility (with a Caribbean flair). Featuring an aquatic center, complete with a zero-depth entry pool for the little ones, Technogym fitness equipment, family and standard locker rooms, preschool and school age childcare classrooms, gymnasium and racquetball courts. In the fall of 2006, Green added a new multipurpo

se room with kitchenette that almost doubled its existing fitness center. Not only does it have a great facility but, as with all of our branches, the Green Family YMCA is for Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.

We will be closed tomorrow September 7th in recognition of Labor Day.

We will resume normal business hours starting on Tuesday September 8th. If you are a 24/7 member you will still have access during this closure.

If you want access to our facilities during holidays then sign up for 24/7 and workout any day and any time!

Our child watch is available for kids 6 weeks to 10 years old! We will watch while you workout, play some basketball, or maybe just drink a cup of coffee in our lobby!!

For Welcome Week this year, the Akron Area YMCA is having multiple events throughout the month of September to make our branches a welcoming environment FOR ALL!

In recognition with this year's Welcome Week, the Kohl Family YMCA will be hosting an International Sports Event!

Sports Include:

~Flag Football

~Soccer

This event is free to all participants. Non-members must bring a valid ID. Snacks & drinks will be provided.

For today and possibly the next couple of days, the only entrance to access the Y is the entrance at the intersection of Massillon and Graybill. The parking lot is being resurfaced and you cannot get to the Y from the entrance on Boettler.
