Glen Toppel Racing Glen Toppel is the driver of the 82 Limited Late Model at Sycamore Speedway Since 2018, he’s proudly raced in the Limited Late Model Class at Sycamore Speedway.

Glen Toppel is a third-generation dirt racer, following in the tire tracks of his late Father Tim Toppel ( #81) and Grandfather Roger Toppel ( #80). His Dad is a past Sycamore Speedway Track Champion, and Glen’s dream is to continue the family legacy by earning his own championship. Glen began racing at just 14 years old in the spectator class and has competed in multiple divisions over the years. H

is goal for the season is to build a competitive car capable of winning a championship and to see his name on the wall beside his father’s.

Only a couple weeks left of racing this year and still cant get this car figured out. Started pole and finished 3rd in dash. Started 5th finished 4th in heat. Started 7th in feature and fell back to last, then made it up to 3rd but an interesting caution happened and ultimately finished back where I started, in 7th.

Great night for some racing! Finished 5th in heat. Started 10th in feature and made it up to 4th, got caught in lap traffic and finished in 5th.

Made some much needed adjustments and the car felt a lot better tonight. Still need to find more speed. 4th in the dash and heat and 5th in the feature.

Today started out with my starter locking up, the winch going out, impact socket breaking, go pro bracket snapping, and my air pumper taking a s**t. With all that being said I was still able to make the dash but ate the cushion in the dash and the heat and wasn't able to make any moves in the feature since my helmet was fogged up and the car started going away. On the plus side it finally wasnt overheating and the oil stayed cool. Better luck next week!
