The Cooper Boys Basketball program is incredibly honored to be part of the Mark Hawkins Memorial Camp Scholarship alongside our friends at McFarland Basketball and fellow NKY basketball programs.

This scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Mark Hawkins — a tremendous player, relentless worker, outstanding teammate, fierce competitor, and even greater person. His impact on the game and our community continues to inspire.

We are proud to help recognize one local young athlete from the Cooper Boys Basketball Camp who embodies the same character, heart, and work ethic that Mark represented every day. It is a privilege to play a small role in carrying on his legacy and celebrating the next generation of players who represent the very best of our basketball community.

We are proud and honored to introduce the Mark Hawkins Memorial Camp Scholarship, created to honor the legacy of former NKU player Mark Hawkins.

Mark was more than a tremendous basketball player — he was the ultimate teammate, a relentless worker, a fierce competitor, and, above all, an incredible person. This scholarship is designed to recognize young athletes who reflect those same qualities both on and off the court.

This year, we will award 8 camp scholarships to our 4-day summer camp to players — 4 boys and 4 girls — who truly embody Mark’s character, heart, and work ethic. Recipients will be selected by the varsity basketball coaching staffs at Boone County, Conner, Cooper, and Ryle High Schools, with each program choosing one standout camper who exemplifies what this award represents.

We look forward to honoring Mark’s legacy by celebrating the next generation of players who represent the very best of the game in the community we serve.
