What an incredible week at the Cooper Boys Basketball Youth Camp! 🏀

We wrapped up four great days filled with skill development, competition, teamwork, and plenty of fun. Our campers brought amazing energy every day and showed tremendous effort, coachability, and enthusiasm.

Throughout the week, campers worked on fundamental skills, competed in shooting, dribbling, and free throw contests, played competitive games, and finished with our championship day tournaments. Most importantly, they represented what it means to be a Jaguar by working hard, supporting their teammates, and having a positive attitude.

A huge thank you to all of our campers, coaches, players, volunteers, and families who made this week such a success. We also appreciate everyone who helped behind the scenes to make camp a great experience for our young athletes.

The future is bright for Cooper Basketball!

Day 3 of the Cooper Boys Basketball Youth Camp was another amazing day! 🏀

Our campers brought great energy and enthusiasm from start to finish, and our coaches did an outstanding job helping them continue to develop their skills. We spent the day working on fundamentals, competing in our shooting competitions, and having a lot of fun along the way.

We wrapped up the day with snow cones for everyone! A special thank you to Mrs. Hartman and Mrs. Weibe for helping make today extra special for our campers.

Now it’s time for Championship Thursday! Brackets are set, finalists are ready to compete, and we’re excited to see who comes out on top.

🏀 Cooper Boys Basketball Youth Camp – Day 2 Recap! 🏀

Another great day of learning, competition, and fun at camp!

We started the morning discussing what it means to be coachable—having a positive attitude, listening, accepting feedback, and always being willing to learn and improve.

Campers then continued working hard through our skill development stations, focusing on fundamentals and building confidence in their game.

Today’s competitions brought plenty of excitement! We held our Free Throw Competition, and our finalists have officially punched their ticket to Thursday’s championship round. We also crowned the winners of our Fastest Two-Ball Dribble Challenge in the middle school division.

We wrapped up the day with highly competitive 5-on-5 games, where campers showed great effort, teamwork, and toughness. The energy was outstanding from start to finish!

We’re excited for another great day tomorrow as we continue to learn, compete, and get better together. Campers wear your Maroon and Gold on Wednesday!!

Day 1 of Youth Basketball Camp is in the books! 🏀

What a great start to the week. The gym was full of energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Today we focused on the importance of HARD WORK—bringing effort every day, competing with purpose, and giving your best regardless of the drill or situation.

We can’t wait to get back in the gym tomorrow! Tomorrow’s theme is Favorite Team. Come to camp in your favorite teams t-shirt or jersey. 🏀🏈⚾️⚽️

A great weekend for our Varsity team as we finished 6-0 and captured the Gold Division Championship at Lawrenceburg High School!

More importantly than the wins, we’re excited about the growth, toughness, and togetherness our group continues to show. The guys competed with great energy all weekend, shared the ball, defended at a high level, and took another step forward in our summer development.

There is still plenty of work to do, but we are proud of the progress being made and the commitment these young men are showing every day.

Thank you to Lawrenceburg High School for hosting a great event.

Great start to summer hoops!!Our Men’s Varsity Basketball team went down to Transylvania University for team camp and finished the week at 9-1 and runner-up’s in the tournament bracket. We are proud of this group on how they competed all week long and represented our program and school. We are looking forward to a jammed packed June schedule for our entire program!!

The Cooper Boys Basketball program is incredibly honored to be part of the Mark Hawkins Memorial Camp Scholarship alongside our friends at McFarland Basketball and fellow NKY basketball programs.

This scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Mark Hawkins — a tremendous player, relentless worker, outstanding teammate, fierce competitor, and even greater person. His impact on the game and our community continues to inspire.

We are proud to help recognize one local young athlete from the Cooper Boys Basketball Camp who embodies the same character, heart, and work ethic that Mark represented every day. It is a privilege to play a small role in carrying on his legacy and celebrating the next generation of players who represent the very best of our basketball community.

We are proud and honored to introduce the Mark Hawkins Memorial Camp Scholarship, created to honor the legacy of former NKU player Mark Hawkins.

Mark was more than a tremendous basketball player — he was the ultimate teammate, a relentless worker, a fierce competitor, and, above all, an incredible person. This scholarship is designed to recognize young athletes who reflect those same qualities both on and off the court.

This year, we will award 8 camp scholarships to our 4-day summer camp to players — 4 boys and 4 girls — who truly embody Mark’s character, heart, and work ethic. Recipients will be selected by the varsity basketball coaching staffs at Boone County, Conner, Cooper, and Ryle High Schools, with each program choosing one standout camper who exemplifies what this award represents.

We look forward to honoring Mark’s legacy by celebrating the next generation of players who represent the very best of the game in the community we serve.
