Tuff extra inning loss for the good guys today. 5-3.

A’Riyan Kershaw was a Stud on the mound today allowing only 1 run in 6 innings and only allowing 1 hit and 1 base on balls while striking out 7! It was a great defensive effort from both sides with the game tied 1-1 going into the 7th inning.

The bats stayed hot today with JJ Kershaw leading the way with 3 hits and Bricksen Revis with 2 hits. Keshawn Kershaw, A’Riyan Kershaw, Javion Dawkins, Alex Gilmore, Peyton Keisler, and Adam Sinclair also contributed with a hit.

1-1 on the day In the Bring the Heat 14U tournament in Lexington blowing a 4 run lead in game one to loose 7-6 against a good Drakes team from Columbia. The guys bounced back in game two to get a 11-9 win against the Camden Bulldogs.

The bats were quiet in game one with JJ Kershaw and Key Dawkins having the only two base hits

Adam Sinclair had two big hits in game two and drove in 5 runs, Keshawn Kershaw, Key Dawkins, and Third Duckett all had a hit with at least 1 RBI. Peyton Keisler also added a hit and Bricksen Revis also added a RBI.

Adam, Third, and Peyton’s combined pitching effort was enough for the Win. In game 2.

Back at it at 9AM in Lexington!

The Jackets 14u team will be doing a Fundraiser starting this week. We will be selling raffle tickets for $5 a piece, or 5 for $20. Three tickets will be drawn on June 12th. The first ticket will win $300, and the next two will win $100. All proceeds will help offset tournament costs for these kids to get on the ball field for the rest of the Summer. Any and all purchases or donations are helpful and these kids couldn’t do what they love without the support of this community.

With the tying runs on 2nd and 3rd in the last inning of the Championship, the weekend warriors came up 2 runs short finishing with a 3-1 record in the Breast Cancer Awareness tournament. Proud of the guys for fighting their tails off all weekend with very little practice due to most of these athletes playing Football for their middle school teams.

2-0 on the day for our first tournament of the Fall and earning #1 seed for Championsip Sunday. Bradley James Lawson and A’Riyan Kershaw combined for a 2 hitter pitching in game one, and Corbin Millwood got the Win and Mason Elums came in for the save in game 2. Complete team effort today!

Come out tomorrow to Timken Sports Complex and support these future Union County Jackets. First game is schedule for 12:30 on field 4 and hopefully after a win we will be in the Championship right after!!!

Good luck to these young men as they compete in the Dixie Youth 12u Ozone State Tournament starting today. Each one of these guys have suited up for the U-Town Jackets and continue to represent Union County in big ways. Also good luck to the other Union County Dixie boys and girls teams who will also be competing in Dixie state tournaments as 5 teams total have made it!!

The 12U Jackets will represent Union County tomorrow in Lexington taking the field at 3:00 and 5:00. Suiting up this weekend will be : Keshon Kennedy, Kemon Kennedy, Lydge Gregory, Cooper Henderson, JJ Kershaw, Adam Sinclair, A’Riyan Kershaw, Alex Gilmore, Caden Brown, Garrett Kendrick, Corbin Millwood, and Bradley James Lawson.
