Thanks to everyone that came out today to ride Hart Farm! It was so much fun showing newcomers our little trail system! The weather turned out to be perfect! Thanks again CK Smokehouse for having food on site!!!

The final installment of our new trail signs is a very special one. A memorial to our dear friend Ben Askew. Ben was a life long friend to many of us and helped Jimmy develop a major portion of Hart Farm trails. Ben was also the first one down for trail maintenance and improvements, and we still think he lays out some pro lines for us! Ben loved bikes, friends, laughing and he really loved his wife and daughter! We all miss Ben dearly but we all know he is there with us every time we ride at Hart Farm!

Last, but certainly not least, a very special thanks to Fred Fielder and Oconee Signs. Fred has been a part of the local mtb scene for the last few years, and is a regular at Hart Farm and part of what we affectionately refer to as our “Dirtbag” crew.

When we first came up with this trail sign idea, Fred stepped up and offered his vision of what these cool trail signs would look like. We were blown away at the quality of these signs! Also, we’re not sure if he knew exactly what he was getting into, lol.

Thank you so much Fred for your unwavering support for the local mountain bike community and more specifically, your support of Hart Farm trails.

Special thanks to Fusion Fit and Nutrition and Hart Farm Trails very own Lisa Baynes for her support! In case you didn’t know, Lisa is a certified trainer and nutrition coach. She’s also a long time supporter of Hart Farm and currently sits on our BoD.

Not only will you routinely find her out on the trails doing back breaking work, she also spends countless hours agonizing over our financials, and creating new fundraising opportunities.
