El Guapo Baskets I'm a Northwest Disc Golf Basket builder. I build a pro basket for a non pro price. This is a hobby of mine that took off faster than I expected. AND 97% U.S.

I wanted to have my own disc golf basket to practice my putting game and to have something my kids and I could enjoy together. I've seen the ones at Costco and to tell you the truth they are worth less what they charge. I wanted esomething like what they have at local parks but not pay a ton $$$$s so I decided to make my own. Well, as you can see it worked out. It's a portable 30 chain all metal b

asket. 12 chains on the outer row, 12 on the inner row with 6 cross chains to increase the odds of catching. This is the equivalent to what you would see in the parks. Built strong but NOT for $400 - $450. METALS FROM LOCAL VENDORS. (Everything except the S-hooks) See if you can find a basket built with U.S. steel sold for this much. :-)

My Models:

My El Guapo Pro is a championship level target. It was approved by the PDGA 4 years ago. It has a 30 chain structure with 3 separate tiers of chain to hit at. It is built just like what you would see in a public park or championship level course. $350 before shipping. My El Bandito Pro is also a championship level target. It was approved by the PDGA in 2018. Different from the El Guapo Pro the Bandito has a 35 chain structure with 3 separate tiers of chain to hit at. This model was built for every customer of mine that wanted a 3 inch band like some of my other competitors. Like my other Pro it’s built just like what you would see in a public park or championship level course. $425 each before shipping. My El Guapo Lite is built just like my El Guapo Pro accept it is built using lighter gauge steel. $245 each before shipping. My El Niño Putting Basket was my answer to the target style basket. It is built light like my EGLite but has a slimmer top and 21 chain setup. This target basket is the only target style basket on the market with 2 tiers of chains. $225 before shipping cost. The El Niño Bandito is built just like the other Niño basket but it has a 3 inch band. $260

Everything is built here in the USA by me. Everything is built using material 100% made in the USA. Not many companies can say those 2 sentences anymore. I’m a small shop in the central part of Washington state. Thanks for looking. El Guapo Baskets

She was the first Professional Disc Golfer I sponsored.

She gave back to the disc golf community especially at my events I ran.

As a friend, I had the privilege of caddying for her at multiple professional events around the Northwest and sometimes in other areas around the country that we happened to be attending. Her bag was always crazy heavy. ☺️

It’s been “a hot minute” as the youngens would say.

If you followed me in the past you were aware that my family and I took on the care of my disabled sister and elderly mother at the same time just a little over 3 years ago.

After evaluating everything on my plate I chose to take a break from building.

With the some recent changes in life it has now allowed me to begin building again.

I’ve been on a break from manufacturing to take care of my family but this is too important to not share with you.

That yellow circle right there is where my wife and I were on staff at for almost 10 years.

That’s where I grew the most and had the opportunity to watch young men better themselves while in our residential program.

This is also the location where it all started with my basket business.

Please be praying that’s the fire lines hold and that this amazing property is spared.

If you know me personally you already know about how my life has changed here in the last few months.

I recently took on the care of my disabled sister. She was involved in a serious car wreck back in 98 that had left her with severe brain damage and bed ridden for the remainder of her time on earth. She was in the military so the VA takes care of her needs. I just fill in the small gaps but do oversee her care.

Along with the that I was also asked to take in my elderly mother whos health is also not in a good place. Possibly early signs of dementia.

You’re probably thinking I’m crazy but I feel that God has called me to take this up and that it is now time for me to care for the very sister that took care of me growing up.

I’ve got 2 courses (9 and 21 hole) left on my build Calendar (Both in Oregon)and then I will take a break from building until my family can get into a steady routine of living here at my home.

If you pray, pray that my mother adjusts to being here. We moved them up from CA to WA.

Pray also for my sister as her body adjust to the new climate and living area.

And for me and my family as we begin this new season of our lives.

This beautiful man went home to be with the Lord this morning.

He was THE one that got me back into welding and machining over 9 years ago. He literally taught me everything I know and helped me think outside of the box when it came to creating my jigs, tools and process of building, manufacturing and sustaining my basket business.

I consider him one of the most influential persons in my life.

The last time I saw him was when I was in Fountain Hills for the memorial this past February. I stayed with him and his beautiful bride Janice in Surprise AZ. We always talked shop and he was always interested in how I was going in my welding career. He wouldn’t hold anything back and would still treat me like a student. I was always his student in my book.

I will miss you Philip Hobson.
