Due to Gov Lamont's newest corvif-19 edict, our club will be closed for play until further notice.

We look forward to resuming play as soon as it is safe to do so.

Until then, we hope that all club members and their families stay safe and healthy.

See you at the tables soon!!

Due to Coronavirus precautions the CT Masters Table Tennis tournament sheduled for April 4th has been postponed and rescheduled for November 7th with a registration deadline of Oct 23rd.

It was a very fun night of Intraclub Match play between the Westerly Table Tennis Club and the NL County Table Tennis Club.
Each club fielded a team of 8 players for two tournament events.
The first event was a Team format with two groups of 4 players from each team playing individual "best of 3" matches.
Team NL prevailed with a 22-10 match victory margin.
The second event was a 16 player "best of 3" single elimination tournament.
Two NL Club players (Lenny & Abe) played excellently and made their way to the final match with Abe coming home with a 3-1"best of 5" match play victory.

The club recently enjoyed a dinner together at a local restaurant in honor of two long time club members, Lenny and Yubo. Lenny had recently retired after a long and dedicated career and Yubo made us all happy with his return visit to the club.

If you have been thinking about or looking for a place to play table tennis in South Eastern CT, now is a perfect time for you to join our club.
We play on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights and are always welcoming of new players.

Five members of our club, aka the Fearsome Five, recently competed in the 2019 Connecticut Masters Table Tennis tournament. They all competed fiercely against a very stout field of competitors.
On the men's side several of the players made their way into the semifinal round of their respected classes before being ousted by eventual tournament 1st & 2nd place finishers.
Our lone female competitor, and reigning club MVP, played superbly an came away with two medals, one each in the singles and doubles competitions!
Congratulations to all participants! Keep working hard, there are many more medals to win!
