👆Strung up and shipped out🛫
These went out to a repeat customer in Michigan. It makes me happy and fulfills my spirit to create something for someone to use playing the game I love. I find so much satisfaction in playing lacrosse and stringing sticks. It soothes my soul and like so many others have said before me, this sport is medicine.
Last night, I ran across an old LaxAllStars video by Mikey Powell on growing the game in Montana. It reminded me of what's important in life and I am grateful to have found it. I find it interesting how I stumble upon exactly what I need to see or hear in the most perfect moments.
It's often the scary and tough times like these, whether it's something like a loved one being sick or any of the myriad of other unfortunate events and circumstances going on in our world today... that make me remember what's important. Helping others, being of service, caring about other living beings as extensions of ourselves.
For me I always come back to the game of lacrosse. Something as simple as a sport, just throwing a ball against a wall, or tying some strings together to create something of art and function brings me and others back to peace. There is medicine in this game. It changed my life. It has always been there for me.
So I am thankful and grateful for the opportunity to give back, to string a few sticks, and to get my medicine🙏
I'll leave the rest to Nahko Bear
Don't waste your hate
Rather gather and create
Be of service, be a sensible person
Use your words and don't be nervous
You can do this, you've got purpose
Find your medicine and use it
