Reminder: Our next battle will take place on the 30th of November. As always, bring any boffer weapons that you can. The battle will take place at our usual location: Low Gap Park at our usual time, 2:00. Comment or call me at 621-4418 with questions.

Sorry for the delay, but I have been too busy with work and school to plan a battle. That said, the next battle is scheduled to occur on the 30th of November. Bring boffer weapons if available (we will have spares, as always), money for Taco Bell afterwards, and your fighting spirit. Of course, you can costume up if you would like, but there is no dress code. Low Gap Park is our current location, but we are in the process of looking for a new one. Feel free to comment locations that would provide good battle!

MBLU will NOT be having a battle in the month of July. The next battle will be in late august or early September. Use the break to make your own swords or practice your swordsmanship!

~FIGHTING RULES~

|General Rules|
- No headshots.
- No throwing weapons unless the weapon passes the throwing weapon specifics.
- Only hold weapons by the designated handholds unless no such handholds are present.
- Use the weapon only for its intended purpose (i.e. no swinging spears or stabbing with hammers).
- Broken weapons must be repaired before they may be used.
- Be a good sport; If you are hit, take your death well.
- Only strike with the designated striking areas of the weapon.

|Two Handed Weapons|
- No behind-the-back swings; the tip of the blade may not pass beyond the back.

|Bows and Arrows|
- May not be fired at close range.
- MUST follow the bow and arrow specifications
- No striking with the bow OR arrows

~WEAPON SPECIFICATIONS~

|General Specifications|
- No bare pipe allowed except on designated handholds.
- Stabbing points must compress when used.
- No latex weapons except for in designated "Armored Combat."
- Foam must be contained tightly, preferably by duct tape.
- Padding must be AT LEAST one and a half inches thick on the striking surface
- All weapons MUST be pommeled.
- All weapons must experience minimal whip when swung quickly

|One Handed Weapons|
- Blade length must not exceed four feet.

|Two Handed Weapons|
- Blade length must not exceed five feet six inches.
- Core must be made of 3/4" PVC; any other material will whip or shatter.

|Throwing Weapons|
- Must NOT have any sort of core.
- Must be wrapped loosely with duct tape to allow for compression of the foam.

|Bows and Arrows|
- Arrow shaft must be padded thinly.
- Arrow head must be flat tipped and padded with three inches of foam.
- Bow draw weight must not exceed fifteen pounds.
- Arrows must NOT be fletched with any type of feathers; use duct tape or flexible plastic instead.

|Polearms|
- Entire shaft must be padded.

|Shields|
- Entire lip of the shield MUST be padded.
- Entire face of the shield must be padded if it is to be used as a bashing weapon.
- Shield must strap to the arm.

|Armor|
- You can wear armor to the battle, but it has no effect in game as of yet.

Battle #4 will commence (if the weather permits) on the 22nd of June. Bring your friends, boffer weapons (we have spares, so come even if you don't have any), and costumes (if you have them and want to wear them).

This Saturday, at Low Gap Park in Ukiah, we will be hosting our third monthly battle. Please come and bring your friends.

Also, we will be doing some short filming sessions for a promotional trailer, so if you want to be on camera and would like to dress up, please do so.
