Hello all my Curvy Girls! I've missed you all! I know it's been a couple years since I've been on. I have had a lot going on over here since I was asked to close the studio. I still have the dream of a curvy friendly pole studio, but I threw myself back into work after I had to close. I worked in our local hospitals ED and started working again full time+. I got very interested in the crisis area, which is where I typically worked, but I decided I wanted to move forward with becoming one of the clinical evaluators for their crisis division. The only thing holding me up was finally getting my bachelor's degree. With my chaotic life, I needed online, and so I started school. I have one more year to go until I finish it. But during that, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It's been almost a year and a half. Fortunately it was caught early, and I went through surgery, radiation and such. Now they're looking at some nodes on my thyroid. I'm not sure yet what they will turn out to be. But overall, I gained a good deal of weight. I have hormone issues, thyroid problems, PCOS and I struggle to lose weight. Plus, menapause is hitting me like truck. But I want to get myself together. I am really interested in the infinity hoops, and it seems like something gentle enough I can fit it into my daily life. I was thinking of making a vlog of it, film the half hour daily workouts? If it works like I think it will, I might start looking into trying to open another studio. I was absolutely heartbroken when I was asked to shut down before, but I respected that some people were uncomfortable with the idea of having a pole fitness class in town.
Does anyone have interest in following me on this weight loss journey? If it works, maybe starting a new class? Let me know, much love to all of you,
Sarah
